| Some guy tried to steal my Yorkie puppy hi all, I'm new to this forum. I had a weird incident today involving a complete stranger. I brought my 11 week old Yorkie girl to a family party. I was out front with her and my younger cousins when a stranger called out to me from across the street, "can I see your dog?" And he started walking over to us and when he got close, he pet Penny and she's super friendly which I guess is good and bad at the same time. He said, " your dog is beautiful" and he asked me what kind of dog and how old she was. Then he said can you come to my house I want to show my sister the puppy. I said no and picked her up and then he said well can I take her? I'll bring her right back. I said no again and walked back to the house. Just curious what you guys think of this? Do you think this guy was trying to steal my dog right under my nose? Plus I don't even know that he lived there as that's not my neighborhood. I got a bad feeling about him from the get go but after that I've just had this weird feeling for the rest of the day that I can't shake. So thankful my little baby is safe and sound where she belongs. |

| Hi welcome to Yorkietalk Do you have pictures of your girl, we love seeing pictures? Also, what is her name? I'm not sure what his true intentions with your furbaby were but I think you did well in not trusting him, as you never know.

| Smart girl! You got out of there. Could have been about to take off with her to force you into following him into a house or right into a van to try to save your baby. So glad you got out of there and if he approaches you again, snap a picture surreptitiously if you can without costing you any time and then get out of there fast and this time, call the cops. They like to know if there is someone in the neighborhood possibly trying to lure women to follow them and if he had your baby and didn't return, obviously you'd have followed him. Be careful out there! And don't leave your baby out in the backyard unattended. People can come right up to your back fence and leap over it, take your baby and be gone in no time if you're not out there. Welcome to YT!!!

| Love little Penny. She's got that "it" factor and is a little star! What a little cupcake! Love that head and face. I sure like to see more pictures of this little honeybun when you can manage.

| Congrats on your new little girl, she is beautiful. I agree with others, be very careful, he may have wanted you not the puppy. I'm curious why you would have an 11 week old puppy on the street before she had all her shots, that's a dangerous thing to do health wise for this baby. Well just be careful if you go there again.

YT 1000 Club Member | No wonder he wanted to take her, she is so cute!!!! Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Do be careful. I am getting 2 puppies in about 2 weeks and I will not have outside until they have their shots, but after that, watch out world as they will be going lots of places to meet lots of people because I want mine to be very friendly and outgoing. I might try to train mine to be a therapy dog so I want him to be friendly. My daughter has the girl puppy and I want her to be friendly as well.
