| Trupanion vs Healthy Paws Trying to decide on what pet insurance to get for my baby, Daisy. I would really like some opinions on these two companies. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I have HP, bc I like the way they do their deductibles.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I am getting two 4 mo old Yorkies and it was a decision between the two - we went with Trupanion, because it is one deductible per incident - example if your pet has an allergy issue, skin condition - you pay the one deductible and don't have to pay it again for the same issue the following years. unlimited benefits -

| DH and I are talking about this. Have to research and not only look at coverage but cost of insurance. Yikes I hate dealing with these issues. But I want Buddybear protected. Ok . . . So I have to put my big girl pants on and just do it. Last edited by buddybear; 09-29-2015 at 06:11 PM. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I did a small spreadsheet with list of questions and then worked from that. Found that in the end we went with a high deducible since it covers per incident and not an annual deductible and Trupanion was the cheapest premium for the most coverage. Know you will make the right decision for yourself and Buddybear.

| I researched this a lot recently when I got Boomer and Thumper. I went with Healthy Paws. Their customer service was outstanding. They even put me in touch with their claims adjuster for a a more detailed explanation of what would and wouldn't be covered. I liked them because of their deductible once a year no matter how many issues arise. Also, they have the highest yearly maximum. If you have any specific questions please PM me. I think either company is fine. You just have to consider what is best for you. |
