Yorkiepoo puppy has internal dissolving stitch poking through! Hi, I'm new to this site. I'm a little concerned, my 7 month Yorkiepoo pup got spayed 4 weeks ago. Everything went well but now she has a stitch poking through. These were supposed to be internal dissolving stitches. It looks fine apart from a small lump which I am assuming is the knot in the stitch and then the stitch itself. Has this happened to anyone else and is ut cause for concern? Thank u ☺

Yes, this also happened to me. My dog had chiari surgery and had a dissolvable stitch poking through the back of his head. I called his Vet and was told it was nothing to worry about. It did eventually dissolve. To be on the safe side I would call and talk to your Vet.

I am going through this with my puppy Archie. He recently had surgery to place two pins in his broken leg and at the same time we had him neutered. The knot from the internal stitches where he was neutered is poking through and the vet said that was okay and that within a couple of weeks it would dissolve on it's own.

| Cali had the same issue when she got spayed. It took months, but it did go away!

Phoned the vet this morning and was told to take her down. They said it was nothing to worry about and it would go away in time. Told them she was constantly trying to lick it and pull at it so they clipped it down. All good. Thank you for your comments, nice to know there are people who care as much as me x
