| Best Yorkie Food Hi! I have two Yorkies (one is my sister's and one is mine) and they are currently being fed Science Diet. I've heard some not so good things about Science diet, but I've also heard some good things about it, too. What do you all think? Do you have any experience with it? Also, what are the best possible food brands for Yorkies? Thanks!

| If they are doing good on it I would leave them on it.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I feed pre-made raw by Primal or Natures Variety, and I also give a bit of Natures Logic kibble to my 2 larger ones. So those are the foods I like best. I've never fed SD.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I feed Primal and Stella and Chewy freeze dried raw. We love it here . . But if you are looking for a dry food I would say Fromm grain free food

| Those are good options, thanks for suggesting them. For the past 2 weeks, i've been feeding luna science diet for small breeds. About 2 days ago, she stopped eating it. While I've been trying to figure out what's going on (cus she threw up), I've been feeding her boiled rice. I have a vet appointment tomorrow morning, so we'll see what's going on. She did try a small scoop of her dog food last night. Still not sure if it's the food or something else......and of course, she's her usual energetic self. |

| There is no "best" foods. But look for a company with no recalls or recall that have been promptly fixed.Made in USA or equal. You know what the first 4-6 ingredients are. They should read ex= Chicken,Chicken meal, Duck meal,Duck ect ect. Not = Corn,Corn meal, meat meal, meat byproducts, Corn ect ect... Know what the meat is. And imo no corn at least in the top Last edited by ironmike86; 04-10-2015 at 03:57 PM. |

| I was able to pick up some samples of Fromm's and buy a tiny bag of stella and chewy freeze dried raw. There is a small dog shop that carries really good dog food that's mainly made in the US. I was able to mix it with her old food and she gobbled it all up, and begged for more. So, science diet is a no...no.. for now. |

| That's funny....i was preparing my luna's food and mixing the fromm's and the science diet when it accidentally fell on the kitchen floor. she proceeded to pick up and eat the fromm's as i was sweeping the floor, while leaving the science diet. so funny....as of today, she doesn't even eat the science diet anymore....lol |

| I got a small bag of the chicken dinner morsels. I just mix 4 pieces with the fromm's and she loves it. She actually licks her bowl afterwards. |

It comes in Grain free choices. although the puppy formula Isn't grain free..it doesnt have wheat, soy or corn and #1 ingrediant is..Lamb..i asked when they will be coming out with grain free puppy.. hope soon. We have our big GSD on the grain free variety of 4 health.. it's a real good price compared to others.. They also have cat choices too..my cat stopped shedding after she's been on this grain free variety.. 4Health? Premium Pet Food | Tractor Supply Co. |
