| new to the yorkie kingdom/ queendom My name is Nikki and I'm a proud mommy of 12 week old little girl. I brung her home today. She's a little lap baby for sure. She sat in my lao for hours. The ride home was an hour she didn't void or vomit in the travel crate. When we got home she whined to go potty then she went back in the crate on her own. She didn't eat or drink anything since being in my home (I offered she walked away from the bowls).is this normal |

| You prolly need to get that baby some nutrical... the little ones get upset when things change too much and as a result they wont eat for awhile and their sugar levels can drop to dangerous levels. If you don't have nutri cal (or don't have a per store nearby) -caro syrup or honey can also work. Give her a teaspoon or so. I'd put pea sized drops on my finger and just rub it on her upper palate and she'll lick it all down. BUt you shouldn't let them go very long without eating and drinking. Maybe a syringe with no needle in it to give her water?

| For some reason my reply didn't stick. I had honey on hand I used it. She sat in my lap for a bit and went in her bed. She's not shaky or anything |

| Yeah..not sure if I'd snuggle down for 8 hours to sleep if I wasn't 100% sure she had enough food and water in her to prevent any problems. Did she drink anything? Glad she took the honey. THey just get a little scared and unsure of where they are and what is going on. So keep a close eye on her and she'lll probably start eating again tomorrow. But really keep a close eye on how much she is eating and drinking. AT least a teas of honey or nutrical every 2 hours and a tablespoon water every 2 hours. They don't always shake with hypoglycemia, SOmetime they will walk in a diagonal line until they hit a wall or sofa and then walk along that like they need help walking upright. Just be careful and make sure you know what to look for.

Thanks for your response I was up for the better part of the night. I gave her honey and offered food. I left it out just in case. She slept in the hallway (it's closed off by doors) with bed and food on one side and pee pad on the other. Her bed was directly in front of my door so I can watch her without bothering her every 5mins. At 430 this morning she ate a little under 1/4cup and a big bowl of water. Within minutes she was sniffing around the pee pad and used the bathroom. Shes been casing the house for a couple hours now playing with her toys and such. Again thank you so much | |
