| Two Yorkies better than one? Not for potty training!!! Hi all! My hubs and I bought our first Yorkie in Nov/ she was 17 weeks old. Overall, she was easy to potty train. We crate trained her for the first few months. Now she can hold it the 4-7 hrs we have to leave her for work. We got her litter mate, a boy in Jan at about 6 months old. He came from the breeder who has 4 other adult Yorkies and gave them all 24/7 access to the lawn outside. We were not vigilant in crate training. He has gotten better at going outside but during the day he pees in the kitchen where we leave him and his sis. Over the past two weeks he has taken to going on our bed in the middle of the night and this evening he peed on our couch! He does nothing to alert us, our girl barks to let us know she needs out and seems to have figured that out on her own. He is now 8 months old. At this age, do we return to crate training? What do we do with our girl? We have a small crate and a crate to fit both. All suggestions welcome! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Has he been neutered yet? Bc if not, he's probably now marking in addition to just peeing in the incorrect spot. Yes, I'd go back to basics ASAP bc the longer he does it, the more of a habit it will become. Welcome to YT, btw !
