| Winnies top knot I brush winnie every day....but I haven't placed a top knot in about two weeks because I noticed it has been getting a little thin....when I brushed her this morning I noticed that the hair above her right eye is just gone....nothing but little tiny pitiful looking tan hair her hair on her head has always been thin...she's always had the teeniest topknot. I'm so sad....but I also feel bad. I've always been careful not to have the band's too tight and I snip them out...I'm just very lost. I will try to get a picture on here I just have to get on the main computer and shrink one small enough to attach. Any thoughts? Is there anything I should do? Thanks in advance!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hmmm...wonder why that hair is gone. Do you crate her and does she rub her head on the crate? There is no skin discoloration in that area is there?

| She is not crated....she was when she was a baby but has not needed one for quite some time. We are fortunate that either myself or my husband is home most of the time and when she is left at home alone its for very short periods of time...even then we have had no issues with her getting into things. I had to shrink the picture very small so its probably hard to see...but the hair that is there looks kinda strange...its hard to explain but almost like it has stripes. The skin itself is not discolored and theres no scabbing or dry spot...its like it just dried up and fell off. It is very very strange....

| It almost looks like it had been cut ... but I know without doubt that that's not what happened....doesn't change any of her cuteness thats for sure...I am just at a loss as to what could have happened. I noticed it getting thinner and thinner on that side and that is why I had not been putting a top knot in...so I'm wondering if it got brittle from the bands and just finally broke off. I was her face every day and right now with it being colder and running the heat so much I have been giving her a bath once a month...while her dry skin seems to have remedied itself with he coconut oil and less frequent baths this has me very confused!! I do wonder...I guess she could have caught her hair on something while she was playing and pulled it out? She does rub on the furniture or the floor from time to time....but its very very rare that she does it.
