| Big Puppy! So dear husband surprised me this weekend with a puppy and named him Kobe(Lakers fan go figure) to my surprise he looks big and is! when I took him to the vet they told me he was 3pounds at 10 weeks. I have never in my life seen a yorkie puppy that big. Nevertheless he s absolutely gorgeous and cute and wonderful! He's my big boy and considering I have a toddler it is better that he is on the bigger side. So I believe it was meant to be So the question is are there other big hefty puppies out there in YT or older ones that used to be? How did yours turn out how much did they finally weight? Ps~ He was supposed to be my puppy but hubby is so fond of him that he lets Kobe sleep with him everywhere(Never have I ever seen my husband behave like that...it's the yorkie spell! |

| Congratulations on your new baby! Kobe is adorable. My boys are both larger than the Yorkie standard. They are tall like the rest of the family. How sweet that your husband is already under the Yorkie spell. It's amazing how Yorkies can turn men to mush.

| My past 4 girls weights 10 Lbs, 2 were 13Lbs,my last girl was a whopping 17 Lbs, she had to be put down at 17 y/o. They were all healthy girls, as they became seniors, just like humans, issues began, 1 went to Rainbow Bridge at age of 10 y.o,2 were 13 y/o last girl was 17 y/o. I now have an adopted boy, he'll be 4 y/o in a few weeks,he weighs in at 12 lbs. I LOVE the bigger yorkies, you can rough them up and not fear causing any damage, I do admit I flip out when I see a lil 5 pounder, so tiny and adorable.

| Aw Kobe is a cutie! When I got my Rolo at 12 weeks old he was 4.8 lbs, he'll be 2 years old this year and now weighs 14 lbs! He's the biggest Yorkie I've had, he's even bigger than his parents. |

| He is absolutely adorable. Had to LOL at the "yorkie spell". It got my husband too. He never wanted a little dog until I brought Zoey home and she instantly had him wrapped around her little finger. We are now a yorkie family and will never have any other breed. Our yorkies have both been in the 5-7 lb range but I have lots of friends who have bigger yorkies. |

| hahah totally get husband used to find them ugly little creatures he only liked and had big dogs like rotties. For him to like a pup this much means alot. I don't know much about yorkies but are they supposed to star changing their coat color at 10 weeks. Kobe's head hair roots are vey blonde like pale blonde and in his dark coat he has started to grow some silve and grey in other areas. if anybody cared to explain id be greatful thanks!! |

| Ditto, the Yorkie spell ensnared my husband too. And Dex was 3.4 lbs at 13 weeks. He's 10 months now and seems to have finally slowed down putting on the weight. He's hovering around the 8 1/2 lb mark. |

| Yorkie-spell is sooo appropriate! I fell under Piper's within minutes and it's increased (wonderfully so) daily! Congratulations on your big little boy and for having such a terrific husband! |
