| When Teddy was that age, I just persevered until he accepted his fate..lol I used bands that go on pretty snugly so that he couldn't rub them out. He still messed the top knot up, though, and looked homeless most of the time. However, perseverance paid off. He actually comes to me when I say, "Pony", and waits for me to fix his hair every morning! |

| No expect but this worked for us. Both mine were quick to get their bows out, but now they wear them all day. They both lay still with their head on a pillow to put the bows on, but it wasn't always that way. Every stage was done with a treat. Be relaxed yourself, relax your dog with stroking, massage. treats. We started with the small rubber bands, making sure they were not pulling any hairs, with a pretty coloured baby hair band on top. We did that for a few weeks, with no bows. If they went to rub their heads on the rug we said 'leave' and distracted them and praised. They tend to stay in better, if a front bit of hair is put in a band, then bow added, then catch up some of the hair behind the band and add another rubber hair band. Does that make sense? We have bows attached to clips and bands, the band ones stay in the longest. Probably because they bother them less.

| Emma doesn't like to get her top knot put in but she'll lay in my lap and let me do it. To keep it in when she starts rubbing I say no and she will leave it be. She's just accepted it now.

| If you put the elastic in very tightly wrapped and skip the bow, that might work. |
