| Is Poppy a Yorkie After finding out that Poppy is not from the "breeder" as first thought and has an Eastern European chip, we now have no idea of her background. I am beginning to wonder if she is a Yorkie or a cross. What do you think? I have looked up different crosses and I think she is really like a Yorkie Poo. I wouldn't change her for the world, she is the cutest most loveable wee thing but still I'm curious!! |

Poppy looks 100% yorkiet to me. You can always get a dna test if you want to be completely sure. Last edited by yavenay; 02-07-2015 at 09:39 AM.

| I thought I'd chime in about the tail - my purebred Clark didn't have his tail docked and it looks the same. My other dog, Maple is only 70% yorkie (as per the DNA test) and we were surprised because she looks so different than a yorkie. Some similarities of course, but a lot of differences. Same tail though, too, lol. But just from looking I'd say your pup is 100%, but if you are really curious, DNA tests are pretty cheap now.

| Curious...what makes you think your baby may not be a Yorkie? You said Poppy has an Eastern European chip, but if that is the case, are you aware that it is illegal to dock tails in Europe? My Brody has his full tail as well, it looks very similar to Poppy's, and I absolutely love it! Your Poppy is absolutely adorable!!!

We bought Poppy from a breeder here in the UK, she had papers and the Mum was available to see. Since then we have found out that the woman completely lied, Poppy has an Eastern European chip and was imported into the UK and sold fraudulently as though she had been here all along. I wouldn't change her for the world though!!!

| Are some of these adult photos? Sometimes a cross will look like a Yorkie as a pup but change a lot as they mature. All these photos look very Yorkie to me. |
