| Front Pet Carrier with legs out We are going to be taking a trip soon and want Sophie with us as much as possible. I am looking at an Outhound Front Pet Carrier with legs out does any one know anything about it? Sophie only weighs 5.2lbs do you know what size I would need to order ? We have tried the stroller but she wants to be closer to us when there are a lot of people around. |

| They look painful. It doesn't bother them? It seems like such a unnatural position for them. |

| I personally don't really like the ones with the legs out. I always think: that can't be good for their spine, especially if they're in there for a long time. I use Kyjen backpack carrier for Zoey. She's about 5.5 lbs. She loves being in there and sometimes won't get out of the car unless I put the backpack in front of her to let her know her highness will be carried. LOL Here's a picture of what she looks like in it. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/att...y-backpack.jpg |

If your body is strong and you're fit, maybe it'll be okay, but if you have a bad back or something, I think it's better to go with a backpack type carrier for both you and the pup. | |

| I don't like the idea of them either. That design may work for a human baby but the spine of a dog is formed differently. |

| There is a product called the Fundle carrier that comes in a large variety of colors, patterns and fabrics that keeps your pet close to you but is very secure and comfortable. You can have the pet's head inside or out. I would give you a link but I'm on my tablet. You can view them on gramercypet.com under fundle top. There are a multitude of knock offs of this carrier but this is the safest and best design I have seen. |

| Every dog is different. I made Uni a sling and she won't get out of it now.
