First time in the snow! NOTE TO SELF: Do NOT let your 3.5 pound Yorkie that has never seen snow, sneak out through your legs and race around the yard! What comes inside is a large ball of snow with only a head showing! Took me 15 minutes and a warm hairdryer to melt the snow, stop the shivering and find the dog inside the snowball !! Too bad I was in such a panic and didn't have a camera handy

It's amazing how much wet snow adheres to that hair. Stuck like glue! Wish I had my camera and didn't panic.... Annie truly was a snowball.

Long lead slipped out of my hand, allowing Piper to go after "big birds" at the local marina. She was hell-bent for leather and actually got pretty gosh darn close to a duck who quickly dashed for the water with Piper in hot pursuit. Duck splashed down and Piper splashed-in! The look on Piper's face as she came to shore was priceless--surprised (whether cuz she got soaked or because she missed the big bird, not sure), but quite pleased with her soggy little self. It was a nice sunny day, high 50's so in order to get warm and dry, Piper and I unexpectedly walked around the whole marina (a little over 2 miles)--at Piper's pace (no strolling for us!). I'm feeling it today, as is my girl (pretty zonked out) and smiling thinking of that teeninsy little wet yorkie--proud as punch! I can kinda picture how silly and cute your little snowball must have looked!! "I made myself a snowball As perfect as can be. I thought I'd keep it as a pet, And let it sleep with me. I made it some pajamas And a pillow for it's head. Then last night it ran away, But first - It wet the bed."

Love the poem. Annie has the speed of a greyhound too! Got a little slow in 5" of snow! I think she learned her lesson though. She, too, is passed out on the sofa.

| That baby was busy checking all that new stuff out!!! That's exactly how my Tibbe looked when it snowed two or three times here. He came from the far back yard running to me totally covered in snow frozen to his coat midway up and including his legs and beard(he's tries to shovel it with his muzzle and eat it!) and tucked in between his little pawpads and I have to take the hair-dryer to his feet and then his coat. It takes a good while to de-ice him.
