Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Ukeke, I wrote this after a very vivid dream one night, almost ethereal! I sat upright and the words were already there - I hope they help. 'When I look each new morning into your beautiful bright clear eyes I value with all my soul the time with you, that each dawn buys My days pass quickly now and you are just a child with youth to share and games filled with barks and growls and glee When I'm sad, you can't understand, the gathering shadows that I fear, for I am sentient, human and know one day soon, what must be Forgive me when I have to leave, but steadfast I'll await your greeting call, no longer a tired old man, but like you now - unpained and free Trust me little friend, asleep now by my side, that one day we'll run forever, denizens of a kinder land, where our love will always be'… |

| I am so sorry about Lexi. It is so hard to lose them. We never have them long enough. Worse still was that you had to deal with insensitive comments immediately after a devastating loss. I hope that was an exception, and you are not faced with further insensitivities. My deepest sympathies. RIP sweet Lexi. Hugs

| I am so sorry for your loss Sending you prayers and a poem for comfort. Remember Our Love I was chosen today I'm learning to fly the world took me away, but please don't you cry And I chose you today to try and be strong so please don't you cry and don't say that I'm gone When you're feeling alone just remember our love, I'm up near the stars looking down from above. Remember our love In a moment you'll see that I'm still here beside you when you're thinking of me. Julie Epp |

| So many ways to show an insensitivity to others but being crass and thoughtless about a dear dog's death by suggesting you only have to get another dog to fix your grief and pain is right up there among the top of the list. I'm so sorry you've lost your baby and know you are hurting more than you can say or even know yet. Take your time, cry, hurt and grieve your great loss of little Lexi - it's what you need to do in order to heal one day. And as horrible as you feel now, you will slowly heal. You will always miss her, can never replace her, not ever. But, eventually, when you are ready, I do hope you can have another great love like you had for sweet Lexi romping around in your home to remind you that her loves lives on and grows through you, reaches out and finds another who needs it. There will be a little doggie out there who will need a wonderful, forever home when the time comes. Your Lexi would hate you to spend your future always lonely for more sweet doggie waggles, cuddles and kisses.
