| pill pockets? I am thinking about trying pill pockets again. I have to give a large tablet and I am thinking that she will try to chew the pill pocket and bite into the pill. As soon as she tastes or feels the pill, it will be all over. I am wondering how pill pockets are supposed to work and if your dogs chew into the pill but eat it anyway. I am giving Denamarin and it is supposed to be given on an empty stomach and not cut or crushed. I'm just wondering if pill pockets would work for a large pill.

| I've been using Greenie capsule Pockets for yearssss. I buy only the capsule size, for small pill I cut the greenie in half or 1/4 size, depends on the size of the pill, pop in the pill then roll it into a little ball, if a big capsule I do the same thing, cut it in half, at 12 Lbs a whole Greenie capsule pocket is to big for my cody. I could kiss the feet of the person that created the Greenie Pill / Capsule pocket. No more stuffing in hot dogs, cheese, peanut butter, last resort shoving down pups throat. I LOVE Greenie Pockets and so did all my babies.

| That sounds like a great idea but I can't crush the pill and she doesn't like peanut butter.

| Maybe a chew or two then swallows it. But, even if pill or tablet breaks, the capsule size (cut in 1/2) is large enough to over power the taste of the pill or tablet is what I have found. I get the chicken flavor.
