| Dog Owner "He Never Forgot Me" Dog Owner: "He Never Forgot Me." - WTVQ A woman from Virginia lost her dog two and a half years ago. The dog was found all the way in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and a small chip is behind this remarkable reunion. Otto was a long way from home, more than 450 miles away. No one knows where he's been, but three days ago he was spotted in a neighborhood in Mt. Sterling and taken to a group called the Love of Paws, which aims to find forever homes for animals. "We had a scanner, a chip scanner. And so we scanned him, and we found out that he had been chipped," said Pat Henry, President, Love of Paws. Because of that small micro-chip, Otto stood the chance of seeing his family. "It's amazing what a small chip has done," said Henry. Otto's owner was identified this week and contacted. Seven hours of driving Sunday led to the sweet reunion. "He never forgot me after all of these years, and you know that hopefully in his little heart that he was hoping mommy would come get him," said Stacey Moses, owner. Moses said the last two and a half years had been some of the most difficult days of her life, but she never lost hope. "I'm just so happy, it's been a long time coming," said Moses. The wait she said, was worth it. "This day is probably one of the best days of my life," said Moses. Law of Paws in Mt. Sterling will have a chip clinic on January 31st. | Wow. Really hits home how important it is to get our pets id Micro chipped. It is a way of taking good care of them. If that dog had not been chipped, he most likely would not have made it. Maybe euthanized. Wow. |
