| My Dogs Hate Football! My Dogs Hate Football! Try as I do, I can't get them to enjoy a good verbal game here at home. I've tried praise and positive reinforcement to get the two of them to enjoy a good game of the Seahawks putting the hurt on the opposing team. Usually they end up making their way to the bedroom for a little peace and quiet. Maybe they are closet 49er fans and are too embarrassed to watch their team lose! LOL All in good fun! |

| Gracie Ruth was around 9 or 10 months old during her first football season. My husband can't watch the games without shouting, cheering, screaming and yelling. Gracie always has been and still is very aware of the tv and what's happening on the screen. One day several weeks into the season, she starts barking and screaming at the tv. I look up and there is a football commerical on and she's barking like a mad dog at the players on the tv. LOL!! She saw her Papa "barking" at the tv when the players are on, so I guess she thought she needed to bark at them for him since he wasn't there. It was hysterical to watch. GO COWBOYS!!

LOL Anne! They'll be waiting for a long time for that beer! Nachos sounds like the ticket for this Saturday night to attempt some added interest from the pups! Thanks! NFL Playoff Picture - NFL.com | |

| OMG, my oldest girl absolutely can't stand football. She loves to sit with Pop in his chair all the time, but if she hears the game on t.v. then she runs for it!! I think it has something to do with all the yelling and stomping that goes on in the living room during a football game

| Well Cali is a basketball gal - not much for football - don't like those concussions When the BB games come on she wear either her University of Louisville, University of Kentucky, or Indiana University outfits - then goes and gets anyone or two of her basketball toys. Of course in our area our babies teeth on basketballs! A couple weekends ago when Cali and I were running the track at the University 2 of the football players came onto the track to run -- we documented, complete with selfies, but neither of this big guys could out run Cali from the 40 yard line to the goal -- they were stunned that something that small could be that fast. One of them said it was like trying to catch a mouse

Max and Teddy don't like football either. They tolerate their grandpa watching NASCAR and Weather Nation, and that is it. Thankfully they have trained him to watch mostly without sound. The first thing Max ever saw on TV was a Chicago Cubs game and he barked like mad. He didn't like those baseball players in our family room.

You also made me think of a debate my father and I had over who is faster: muscular Max or lean little Teddy (same leg length). A race in the yard determined Max is still a hair faster than his little bro. Max also has superior cornering capabilities when rounding shrubs.

| Maybe they hate the NFL for its VERY messed up morals of allowing convicted dog abusers and killers and wife beaters play but not an openly gay man who HAD to be good enough if he was wanted by many teams before he came out. Either way, I'm with the dogs. Football is horrible. |
