| I kept everything from from all dogs, harnesses, coats, sweaters,T-shirts, toys, beds, everything. Seemed I was getting a new pup every 3 years lol. If I knew ppl with a new puppy I would give them the baby things, then gave what fit their dogs as their pups got older. When the last of my pack had to be put down (last year) I swore no more dogs. I donated everything to my local no kill shelter. 6 weeks after putting down my little girl and donating everything I made an unplanned adoption lol. I had nothing, not a leash or a ball. Boy was I kicking myself in the butt lol. I even donated a 6 foot kiddie pool that you can't even buy today. But I had fun buying my little boy everything new. Sure wish I had kept some of those knitted sweaters I had made lol. If you are sure there will be no more new additions you can donate to your local shelter. My shelter has like yard sales, all monies go to the shelter.

| I have only given away two sweaters, and I threw away one tee shirt from the Yorkies. I threw the tee away because it could no longer be used, and gave the two small sweaters to a Chi who was at my house during some very cold days. My Yorkies were warm in their sweaters, so I put one of their smaller sweaters on her, even though they still fit my Yorkies and her mommy said she didn't like clothes. At my house, she seemed thrilled to wear the sweater, so I sent her home with both sweaters that size. I kept all collars, leads, etc. from my large dogs...pets come here when they need a loving home, but I would give them to one in need. I think it is a decision to consider before taking action. There are many possibilities, but only you can truly decide based on your situation. Good luck...it can a hard decision...it was for me giving away the sweaters...I felt bad having to throw away the tee shirt, too....memories of my babies wearing them.

| I can't bring myself to part with the puppy things. We keep them in a box and pull them out every once in awhile.

| I kept Mina's things because I knew that I would be getting another baby approx. 2yrs later. Then I got Kenzie, a REAL tomboy. She is bigger than Mina. At 20 weeks she and Mina were almost the same size,so she didn't get to wear the baby things. Then Tilly kinda happened, she is very tiny. Now that she is almost a year I will be looking for a way to rehome some of the tiny things. I would love to bless someone with a new puppy. This is on my list of things to do after the holidays. I have thought about donating some of the nicer things to Yorkie Haven for LadyJane to use for the foster pups. |

| ZoE grew so big, she outgrew a lot of things. If i really liked something, I kept it. If I didn't absolutely adore it, i gave it away to the rescue group a friend of mine is involved with. Even though i keep some small things thinking that i could potentially use it in the future with another pup, i don't know that i could unless ZoE was still around. I have the carrier i used with my last yorkie, Chelsea, full of her old sweaters and bows, her harness, and a lock of her hair. I looked at it when I got ZoE and she was still little, but i couldn't bring myself to put any of Chelsea's things on ZoE. It just felt wrong.

| The only thing I resold was actually a Buddy Belt 2 that she out grew from puppyhood. Everything else I've either donated or given to a friend.

| when i got milo he was a boy and ended up twice the size of my girl, so i had to buy him his own clothes, but i never thought about how wrong it would feel putting their clothes on another yorkie if they've passed on, in my head i cant imagine a world without them . Its so funny after i wrote this post my mother asked me if i had any clothes, a woman she works with is a single mother of 3 and got her kids a Small dog, so i think ill do what someone said here keep the nice clothes that have meaning or that they wore a lot as babies so one day i can reflect back on that ...and give the rest away to someone who needs them to keep their dog warm. |

| It's a good feeling when you can pass your pups outgrown things to someone that needs them. Several years ago I had a pack of 3, so I had a ton of doggie "stuff" I couldn't part with them so they were kept. If I came across someone that could use something I got pleasure from giving. As each one passed away I couldn't / wouldn't give their things away, to many memories. I was only able to donate everything I had collected because I knew there would not be any more pups after having to put down my last little girl, seeing all my past babies belongings made me more depressed, they needed to go. I would never have been able to use my past babies things on my new boy, I would have felt guilty. I had a few sweaters I had knitted, they were more like community sweaters, everyone wore them lol, those I could have used with the new guy because they didn't belong to one pup. It's easier to give away when they are still with you, it's when they leave us it becomes difficult to part with anything. Glad you are able to help someone one out.

| I am new to small dogs. All my previous dogs were gundogs first and pets second. Except for Rocky that was a border collie mix that someone dumped at the end of our driveway when he was small enough you could cup him in your hands. They all passed away due to age and I don't hunt anymore. We got Cocoa because my Sister In Law couldn't take care of her. She is around a year old and very small. She is cold all the time. She shakes. She is healthy. The only thing we have purchased is a small Cape that has two Velcro straps. I like to shop online. I am having a hard time trying to buy online for her. I guess I am going to have to take her to a store and get a baseline. Took her to the groomers the other day and there were two other Yorkies. Cocoa was half the size of both of them. |

| I keep my favorite things, I'm sentimental about them. But they have so much stuff I try to give some things to the APA for the yearly Canine Carnival, so they can sell them. Right now I have a bag of Teddy Bear's outgrown shirts to give to my friend who has a smaller yorkie, and one bag for the APA.

Not all dog clothes are created equally. The best way to get the correct size is to measure the girth of your baby (all the way around ,just behind the front legs) and the length from collar to base of tail. It will make shopping a lot easier. I take a tape measure with me to the store and measure the actual garment. Kenzie wears some Small and some Mediums. Tilly wears some XS and some S. Mina is pretty consistant with smalls. | |
