| Great for top knot frizz and nose hair! After Chloe had her bath last night, she had a little bit of a frizzy top knot and some of her nose hair didn't stay down so I decided to use my Josie Maran Argan Balm.. only a tiny amount and her hair was frizz free! Argan Balm - Josie Maran | Sephora Thought I'd share this with you guys!! I use it on my own hair too for frizz and as a lip balm!

| Thanks for the info--I can especially use it for Piper's boing-y nose hair. Don't think she cares, but I think it would bother her to see (geez, I'm hearing my mom telling me to get my bangs outa my eyes or get 'em cut!!). But really, thanks much and now to shop! |

| Great stuff but so expensive! I wonder if an all natural lip balm would work? Small container, keep it with the grooming stuff, use it to keep those hairs down.

| If you do try a less expensive balm, would you let us know the results? What with the holidays and heating bills happening now, I'm trying to be a bit more sensible about non-essential, Piper purchases! Thank you so much! |

| When Gracie was a puppy I bought some gel made for dogs. She hated it! She would rub her face into the carpeting trying to get it off! As soon as it dried the hairs would go back up anyway. So it was a waste of money. The oil sounds like a much better idea and it would be good for the skin as well. |

I think the Burts Bee's lip balm could work! The Argan Balm is like a lip balm consistency but slightly waxy that's why it keeps the hairs down.

I tried the burts bees lip balm and he hated it! He rubbed his face so much he was a mess within seconds. MeSo has broken off so much of his top-knot that I think I will just cut it. She uses his head as a pull toy.

| I got myself some of that Josie Maran argon oil 100% that I tried to use on myself but it didn't do what I would hope for, since I have very dry skin that has special needs to look/feel right. But I have thought about starting to use it on my girl for added shine She has such soft hair and skin, but could use an extra shine, so I plan to start her on an organic coconut hair treatment and argon oil leavein once she has fully recovered after being spayed ^^

| Yeah, you really have to watch them to see how they will react. I had to grab Gracie up so she wouldn't hurt her eyes because she was rubbing her face so hard into the carpeting. I think it may have been the scent that was in the gel that bothered her the most. I was stuck with a full jar of dog hair gel but I wasn't going to put her through that again. Eventually the the worst of the tiny hairs grew out and we don't have to worry about it anymore. |

I can't bring scissors near Chloe's top knot.. I waited too long for this top knot to grow!! lol. I think maybe he hated it because it had a scent or because it was thick? The argan balm feels a little waxy so you need a really tiny tiny amount. It doesn't really smell like anything either. By the way, a great idea for the pull-toy problem is to do a backward top knot! I've seen it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcR-...KTMB4hTo3v7IDw I found the same tool at Marshalls and I have used it with the same result. It makes the top knot go inward so that your fur baby can't pull the top knot lol. Hope that helps!
