| Appointed Time And appointed Place I debated whether to share this story but my heart says YES! My husband and I had gone Monday for our last minute Thanksgiving shopping. We also needed doggy food and cat food for our pet family. We were in Petsmart finishing our list and I happened to go around a corner just wandering. As I moved ahead a gentleman was at the vet reception and all of a sudden I hear this heart wrenching cry and my heart hurt so bad for the gentleman I saw from the back. I backed my buggy up and tried to find my husband who is usually near and he was just around the corner. I felt my husband might be needed to help this man as I shared what I heard and saw. We decided that the man did need someone. By now he had been led to a room and was most distraught. My husband went back and stepped in the little room no one was with this dear man who obviously was grieving beyond words. I could still hear the man so broken and I know my husband he by now was praying and comforting this dear soul. The man shared his story with my husband that his 10 yr old Chihuahua Rocky had just collapsed on the parking lot as he was ready to enter Petsmart. He began telling about himself and his wife being seniors not having children and this little dog was their baby. They both sat in the little room for close to an hour although poor little Rocky had officially passed in the parking lot. During this time my husband wept with this gentleman and shared about our little darlings that we still grieve over and had lost not that very long ago. The man had gotten so upset my husband was concerned about him driving home because little Rocky was going to be taken back with him to be buried in the back yard. So my husband offered to drive him and the man was so relieved by the offer he said to my husband you would do that for me? When my husband came out from the little room he for sure had been crying just as hard and feeling all the greif this man had expressed. I too had felt and heard his continuous break downs. But we all walked out of Petsmart they put little Rocky in the car and as it turned out the man lived in the same area we lived in. We left and met again at the mans house and he was still very broken but he yet had to go into the house and share the heartache with his ill wife. He wanted our phone no and my husband got the mans no. After hugs with the man sharing how thankful he was when he needed someone so badly at that very moment in time and there my husband was he was just beyond words. My husband was so thankful to God that he could be used to show compassion to a broken man who had lost his very best little friend. We had prayed that morning and ask God to use us this day in some way. We really had know idea he would have it be at Petsmart with the passing of a beloved little friend Rocky!

| Thank you so very much for sharing your story. I'll always believe that God in His infinite wisdom puts the right person at the right place at the right time to help with His work. You were in Petsmart that night not only to buy pet food, but to be there to console this gentleman. Thank you for being heroes. I hope that he and his wife are able to get through the sorrow. Will keep them in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. |

| God bless you and your husband for showing kindness to this grieving man. So many people are too busy and wrapped up in their own lives to notice what is going on in some strangers life. If more people acted with kindness and compassion like you both did the world would be a better place. Thank you and god bless this man and his wife. God bless the newest doggie angel Rocky.

| How blessed this poor man was that both you and your husband was there to comfort him. What a tragic way to loose a baby, away from home. Bless you and DH for helping this poor gentleman.

| Thank the good Lord you and your husband were there for that man! What an awful thing to happen. The kindness of strangers is often the only thing that holds someone together. God Bless you both for answering the call.

| Graneet Thank you for your sweet concern. The gentleman shared a little with my husband about little Rockys condition. It seems Rocky had heart issues and had been seen by several vets and had even been taken out of state to a special clinic for tests. So not sure exactly of all details about the last hours of this little guy. But sounded like this couple truly did try to make him comfortable through his last years. Not sure if they were going in Petsmart for an appt or just to get doggy food. With so much going on with the loss of Rocky I guess he didn't talk the final steps in his life. I'm sure the pain of it was too much at the time. I feel the man was so shocked by the fact he really has lost his little friend.

| You gave this gentleman an incredible gift. When he thinks of his unbearable loss he will also think of your selfless act of true love and compassion. A priceless gift indeed. May God bless you and yours always. |

| You have an incredible man you have! So good to hear about willing, loving people who can step up to spontaneously help those who need them right then - in the moment, whether it's painful or inconvenient. We need more people like your husband walking our streets. God bless him for his generous, loving heart, willing to help bear the burdens of an old man in such distress. And may God comfort those old people who've lost their beloved Rocky.

| God Bless you and your husband. It seems God put you in the store where you would be able to comfort this poor man. I pray for him and his wife for the loss of their beloved dog. I'm sure the pain they are feeling was somewhat lessened by your husbands kindness. Thank God for people like you.
