| How do you keep your pup's coat? What do you, personally, find the best cut to be for your dog and your lifestyle? I tend to keep Sheldon in a mid length cut. I like the look of the longer, glossier coat, but I'm inexperienced with long haired dogs and wasn't able to handle it yet at a longer length. I hope to, one day. So, I keep his body, head, and face mid-length and his legs and belly kind of short (they mat up the most). How do you keep your dogs cut, and why, if there is a particular reason? |

| Cookie's hair grows really slowly and it's a silky coat, so I never take any length off her coat, and just trim up her bangs, ears, and peepee area. I love the longer coat. Minnie had a more cotton coat that got matted too easily when long, so I kept her shaved short. She looked great in the short cut (much better than long).

| I keep Mylee in a modified schnauzer cut. Shorter across the back and blended with longer underneath and legs. It's a little easier to manage, yet gives her some style, kind of the best of both. And Moka is all natural, but she has the hard silk hair and never mats, so even though she is natural she his super easy to care for.

| Max and Teddy are in full coat. The first reason is that I tried doing a puppy cut on Max when he was a puppy and I wasn't very good at it. The second reason is that the hair hides how thin their legs and necks are, which helps me worry less about them being fragile. I have cut inches off of their topknots and beards shorter on occasion. I am tempted to shave the saddles like many people are doing. Would be much easier to care for. The boys would definitely be shocked at first. They love their hair.

| Chloe has a full coat. I agree that sometimes it gets a little bit tedious with the upkeep of the long coat but I love the look! I've never cut her hair, only trim.

| In on my iPad mini so can only load one pic at a time and only chose from what I have on here. Here is how ZoE was for three years. Were at the beach, so she's wet and stringy, but gives you an idea of the length of her coat.

| Here is how ZoE is now. I love a long coat, but after three years of growing, it was evident she wasn't going to attain the floor length coat of my previous yorkie. So, I shaved her body and trimmed her face. She seems very happy with it. She's a true dog, running and playing outside daily, and jumping in and out of her paddling pool all summer long. This cut is just so easy to maintain her grooming with. While shocking at first, I've grown to love it.

| I keep Callie in a puppy cut for a couple of reasons one she loves to roll around and get dirty and doing that wil long hair would be a nightmare lol and two and three together kinda is she gets cold easily so she almost has to always have clothes on so clothes on a yorkie with long hair can also be a nightmare. Callie has such beautiful hair and I would love to maybe grow it out one day but it just might not ever work for her. She is so used to it being cut short if it starts getting to long she almost acts like it's uncomfortable or bugs her.

| I can't imagine Jackson with long hair, or myself having to maintain it... I am far too lazy lol. I don't even brush him, like ever, except on bath days when I fix up his face and tail every 10 days or so.... the short look just suits him & his lifestyle. In the summer, it would be a pain from all the swimming he does, in the winter the snowballs getting stuck, etc. He is too active. He also HATES being fussed with and messed with, so likely wouldn't tolerate lots of brushing and maintenance. He stays like this year round. It does grow out a bit in between groomings but not a lot. He gets groomed every 8-10 weeks. 2nd pic is probably the longest I ever let it get lol.

| Emma is still a puppy so her hair is still growing. I like that she has a silky, easy to maintain coat but I keep it to about her "knees". I think that's a good length as it's easy to manage. Her underside is shaved and under her armpits because that's where she mats. I actually perfer a modified schnauzer cut so I maybe will try that later but I'm going to give this long hair a go for a while. Troy was always kept short because if I let his hair get long, his ears would flop over and he wasn't cute that way (IMO).

| Until recently, Teddy went to the groomers every 6-10 weeks but I've let his coat grow out for winter. I prefer for him to have longer fur around his face, anyway. So, at the minute, he has a shaggy "in the process of growing out" look but the length is decent right now. He has to have a top knot though or he'd look like a sheep dog! I shave under his armpits and his belly and I'll probably be taking some of the back (under his tail) this weekend. The longer coat is good for the winter but I will admit it's annoying after walks or play in wet weather. |

| My baby so far is kept somewhat short on the body in a modified "puppy" cut. But I have plans for her later to have her hair on her head long but her body and beard short. Been debating since she does look good/cute with a groomed "beard" but I plan to lose it since it gets real messy when she eats.
