| New to the site! Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie. My boyfriend and I are proud parents of a 6 month old yorkie named Finnegan. Finnegan was a surprise to me from my man. I first met Finn at 3 weeks and 3 days old and fell in love instantly. He loves to run lick and play. His favorite place is our local dog park. He is teething right now and has lost quite a few teeth. He eats an organic homemade diet. He is a big mommas boy! I train him everyday. He has learned rollover, spin, speak, quiet, heel, come, and even outside potty! The only thing we can't figure out is how to get him to stop eating anything and everything off the floor! He sleeps with us at night but we do put him in a crate when we are away for a long time. Typically either my boyfriend or I are with him and I take him everywhere with me. He is not much of a barker and is well tempered. I have joined this site because it has answered many of my questions in the past few months and I plan on continuing to use it, so why not join! I appreciate everyone's knowledge and help with my little man. |

| Hi Stephanie! Welcome to YT Only 6 months old and Finnegan can already do all those tricks? Impressive! I tried for a year to get ZoE to roll over and she wouldn't do it, and gave me an "how dare you!" look when I physically rolled her over myself trying to show her how, so I gave up.

| Welcome to YT. Finn sounds adorable. I'd like to say he'll out grow the 'eating everything' but mine haven't and they are 6 yrs old. I will say that it gets easier. More times than not, they sniff at it first which gives me the chance to tell them to leave it and they will.

| Thanks everyone! Finn is my pride and joy. I spend all of my time outside of work with him. He is my first yorkie and my first actual dog. I moved out of my parents house about a year ago, granted we had dogs, they were never my dogs. Finn has a special place in my heart<3 |

YT Addict | Wow good for you and finn . One smart little cookie. Want to borrow my boo lol just kidding. Couldnt bare to be away from him. As far as their floor hunting boo does it to. Like a child who has learned to crawl and find things on the floor so does boo. Paper wire what ever he finds it. I made the mistake of leaving my purse open on the floor. Fell asleep. So now my driver license has doggie marks on it. |

| All of my past babies did the very same thing, always under my feet, between my legs when I was cooking (which is very rare lol) or washing dishes, always looking for something to be dropped. Even on walks I had to watch they didn't pick up stuff off the street. They never out grew it. My Cody is the same way, I cook more often now then I did when I worked, he is always on the look out for something to be dropped, now knowing how toxic some human food can be I am extra, extra careful, like chopping onions, I will send him out of the kitchen. Even on walks, he will also eat anything he finds. This past summer was his first with me, I discovered he even eats insects, now that is a first with me, non of my past girls ever ate insects. I watch him like a hawk. My last girl had a fetish for chap sticks and cricket cig. lighters. She would destroy them, she did this up to the age of 14 y/o. Reason she stopped, her eye sight was failing. They are lil mischief makers, that's for sure lol.
