| Hello all I'm new user and i have a quick question Hello all, im so happy to join yorkie talk and be a part of it , i love yorkies since I'm a little child, now i own a little girl her name is Lov a lot, and i call her log or loviee, she is now 6 months old, i got her when she was 4 months. I have a quick question about her color. i notice that her body hair is transferring to gray now its almost 1.5 inch gray color, but her face have 2 tone colors, in the middle of her head there is like dark silver line and around her nasal , the rest of her head is silver and some have blond, do you guys think the dark gray will get lighter ? or it will be a line on her head? because i searched and didn't see any with head line. i will try to attach a pic of her. many thanks for your help |

| Oh my she's gorgeous! I've seen a few full grown ones that have that strip of dark on them still (either that or they're actually still young, hard to say) my babygirl is already starting to lose her black around her head (she's about 6 month now too but has no stripe), but personally I think that look is really pretty, it gives them a more different look, but like others say, it may grow out into a solid color later.

| Hi and welcome to YT. What a gorgeous girl! I know Buster's hair changed a lot. He used to have this lovely white patch on top of his head like a toupee but it changed to a light golden color. He still has a fair amount a dark in his grey but that has changed as well. You can see the white patch in in my avatar picture of the Vampire, playboy, and friend pictures as they were taken withing the first two years and the others show the golden color.

| Your puppy is beautiful Her face is a lot darker than my dog's was at her age. It's hard to say if she'll go all blond/gold or will have nontraditional coloring, what did her parents look like? The first picture is Lola at 8 months and the second is her at 16 months. She's 20 months now and her face is pale blond with a little gold mixed in, the only black hair left is the back of her ears (that's the last place to go). I kinda wish she had kept the dark streak down the center of her topknot. |

| Your baby is beautiful!! My Teddy is just over one year old and he has very gray hair on the top and a red muzzle. I think he will probably stay that way though others have told me that his gray may grow out as he gets even older... So, who knows! But, either way, he gets so many compliments because of his coloring. I guess the only sure way to know what the colors are is to get an adult. Otherwise, part of the fun of having a puppy is watching how they grow and loving them for who they are. Again, your baby is beautiful and I love her name! |

| Your Lovie is just beautiful, beautiful coloring. As others have said, their coloring does change. Years back, my first yorkie was pure black on her back and top of her head, her legs and face was auburn, my yorkie friends kept telling me her pure black would change to grey and the auburn would change to blond, it never happened. She stayed all black body and head, face and legs stayed beautiful auburn. I would say it's the genes of the parents generation. My fourth yorkie's coloring was the same, black with auburn, no trace of grey in either dog, I LOVE that black and auburn , or black with gold face and legs, I don't see much of that coloring. It's interesting to watch their color change. She is a lil beauty hope it will stay that way.

| She is uniquely lovely and beautiful--cute, cute suitable name! She looks like she could get into a bit of mischief--sort of a twinkle in those little eyes! |
