| Hello from Canada! Hi everyone, I have used the YT forums as a helpful resource for some time now, but finally got around to joining. We have a 2 year old, male Yorkie. We've always had big dogs previously, so this has been a huge learning experience for us. We got Chewie for my daughter, but inadvertently, he has totally become my dog. I cannot believe how much I love him, and I never really cared for small dogs before. Although, to be fair, my exposure to them had not been positive (two aunts had seriously yappy, annoying, poorly behaved small dogs when I was growing up, so they really gave small dogs a bad rep!). When we got Chewie, I was determined not to have that kind of a dog. We've done quite well. He's so sweet and not yappy at all. He sleeps in our bed and while he doesn't exactly warm my feet, he warms my heart and that's what counts! Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the help over the last couple years!

| Hello from Texas!! Your Chewie sounds adorable. It's true that they do pick their special person, but they still love their whole family. We have 3. Fortunately, one of the three loves to be under the covers by my feet, so he keeps them warm for me in the winter. Perhaps you just need to get a couple more...surely one of them would be willing to be your foot warmer.

| Thanks everyone! TeresaM: Oh, he tries to warm my feet, he's just not big enough! He only weighs 4.5 lbs. We're actually considering getting another one to keep him company. Since I started this new job last Monday, he whines for attention more than before when I was leaving him 3-5 days per week. It's weird. It's like, if I'm here, I have to pay attention to him. If I'm not, he seems okay (as in, doesn't love being left alone, but had no signs of anxiety or depression). Wylie's Mom: I'll try to post some photos soon. Some of our best ones are on my husband's phone, so I'll have to get him to send them to me. He loves to sit on my husband's shoulders when we watch TV. Lately, he's started sitting in a chair at the table. He knows not to go for food, so even when there's no one in the kitchen, he just sits at the table like a human. It's so funny. Wallee: We're in southeastern Quebec, but planning a move to Ottawa in July, if not before, because of a my new job. I work from home most of the time, but have to be in Ottawa often enough that it would be easier to be close (and way more fun, we're really excited about the idea of moving to Ontario).
