| Solid Gold Wee Bit Ingredient change-opinions? Yesterday I noticed the bag design had changed so I wrote to the company this morning. I've been using this food for years & have never found anything better for my little allergy dog even though it isn't grain free. This was their response & I'm wondering if anyone has any input on the new formula? "HI Annie, We recently updated all our packaging and it is just now hitting the shelves. Some formulas were just changed a bit (we added probiotics to all the foods). Wee Bit has changed a bit more than others. We added some pea and egg to reduce the ash content and the probiotics as stated before. The calorie content of Wee Bit also increased about 40 calories per cup. Best regards, Solid Gold" TY for any insight....

| About 2 months ago I finished off a big bag of Wee Bits, probably the original formula, and I didn't buy it again because all 3 of my girls seemed to be gaining weight on it. So, knowing that they have now increased the calorie count I definitely won't be using it, because my girls already need to lose a pound. However, I still think Solid Gold is a great company, and this food may be good for certain dogs, especially small ones that are picky eaters.

| Well, I just opened the bag & I can see why 1 cup has more calories: it weighs more than a cup of the old formula. I know because I have 5 big containers I fill up when I get a new bag & this time I didn't have enough to fill all the containers. The kibble is even smaller, & the girls sure liked the difference. We'll see how this goes. No weight problem with my tiny ones, plus I free feed.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I think it's such a nice food, that if I fed it (I feed raw) I probably wouldn't change food bc of the changes they made. Glad your kiddos like it so much!
