| Anyone with smaller yorkies or have a yorkie that had a growth spurt? My female will be 20 weeks in 2 days and she weighs 1lb 9oz. I've started giving her treats once a day and added canned royal canin to her rc kibble. She's gained 1 1/2 oz the past 10 days because she was stuck at 1.8 going up an oz every 2 days. She eats normal she is very small but no one in her both parents side have ever been less than 5 1/2lbs expect her mom she was a couple oz under 5lbs but in all these charts it shows she will be 2.5lbs max. Has anyone had a yorkie that was supposed to be small but gained later on ? I don't want her to be too small my 3lb 12oz male licks her and she rolls away and he's small but he's at least 4-5 times bigger than her.should I continue feeding her what I do or stop the treats I don't want her to end up putting too much weight on her small frame. Vet says she's fine but I just don't see how she could be this small at this age her brothers were 2lbs a couple ounces at 7-8 weeks. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | My Marcel was really a tiny guy and he did have a growth spurt later on...like more around 8-10mths. Sometimes it seems the really little ones have a later growth spurt. Granted, he's still only 3.5-4 lbs, but he's a sturdy little fella!

| My Jewels was 12 oz when I brought her home at 8 weeks and supposed to be 3 lbs according to growth charts and she is 8 lbs so you never know untill they stop growing.
