| Anyone tried Code Secret for Yorkies from Pure Paws? I'm currently using YSS for Chloe and I REALLY wanted it to work because I love the scent but it's drying her hair out so much. When she comes out of the bath she has clumps of hair all tangled up.. and I'm positive they weren't there before the bath. Her ends have also been looking really dry since I started this shampoo. It's a shame because the scent is amazing. Anyone tried this new Yorkie line from Pure Paws? Code Secret Line Thoughts on it?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Looks super interesting, but wow, the choices are just overwhelming to me!! What would I choose, lol?? Wish they had a "try me" packet or something... You may want to check out Iv San Bernard products too...pricey, but amazing!

| Ooh just checking out the PurePaws store site and the code secret line. I'm very tempted to try and see how it does. They do have travelkits for some of the other lines which can work like a trial ^^ But code secret doesn't seem to have that and from what I gather you're suppose to dilute it with water. A bit pricy but might be worth it as from what I gather their lines are suppose to be for showdogs. My girl has sensitive skin the JohnPaul Mitchell Oatmeal set I got her hasn't helped her itching but has helped her coat ^^; So until then I'm on the lookout for yorkie specific stuff.

Also, yes they have SO MANY choices! I found the products that they recommend specifically for yorkie hair though (beside the Code Secret), here's the link: http://www.purepaws.net/assets/yorks...d-07.28.14.pdf I probably wouldn't buy alllll the items under each category, just a good shampoo/conditioner and a spray. I think using all of what they list at once is excessive, lol. Quote:
The crazy thing is everyone I know who has used/tried the Paul Mitchell says the same thing about the dry skin!

| Also, LunarBerry is right, they have travel kits but not for the Code Secret If anything, I'd get the Silk Line. Anything that I see with the word silk.. I automatically think that's for yorkies, lol. Travel Kits

| I have never tried the products, but I do remember reading lots of old, old threads regarding them. You can find some of the threads here, including comments from a company rep: https://www.google.com/search?q=York...ial&channel=sb You may also want to ask Gemy (Gail) about Pure Paws. I think she has used a couple of their products, unless I am confusing it with another.

| I just looked at the link, I think it's a mix; some people liked it and some didn't. I'm wondering about the scent of it, too. I tried the Kiehls line for pets one time and it was SO BAD I thought Chloe smelled like a car air freshener, lol. I had to double bath her that day.

I think all products are going to have their fans and non-fans. Part of it is that each Yorkie coat is going to respond differently. Then you have other factors like water quality that will affect the way the product behaves.

| I have not tried the one you mentioned. However, I use YSS shampoo and find that an unscented hypoallergenic creme rinse from Bio-groom is a perfect way for me to use the scent i love with YSS and get the coat to be soft and tangle free using Bio-Groom unscented.

I absolutely lovee the YSS scent. Did you find that it was drying also? I don't know why but I can have Chloe all brushed out before her bath and then after the bath she would have little clumps of hair after the YSS.. she did smell good, though!

But in the end I'm looking for something that'll make her coat shine, her skin supple and doesn't irritate her (and hopefully help soothe/prevent irritations).

This is so funny because I say that line about Chloe not being a show dog but me wanting her to shine like a star.. ALL THE TIME, lol! Yep, the Code Secret is new so I haven't been able to find any reviews on it. I did do a google search and I saw on a maltese forum that Pure Paws don't really disclose their ingredients on the bottle, but I don't think that CC does, either. CC did give me an ingredient list before in email, though. I just watched this video of a gorgeous yorkie and surprisingly, the lady used Loreal shampoo and conditioner?! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9L4...ah2efwJYKVnd0Q I'm scared to try people shampoo on her but wow.. the coat came out so stunning. I'm currently using Davines Love shampoo and Momo conditioner on my own hair which is paraben and sulfate free.. and I've wondered if I can use that on Chloe's hair? I'm scared about using the shampoo but maybe the conditioner? What do you think about using people conditioner.. is it okay or best not to?
