| Hannah pet society... So I know this is currently only an Oregon/Washington program (and possibly only extending to the more populated areas like portland and Vancouver) but I am wondering if anyone here has any experience or feedback with this program. Their whole gig is 'total pet parenthood for life'. You pay a monthly fee (and that does vary depending on your pets current condition) and you receive almost all pet services under the umbrella of that monthly fee including veterinary care, food delivery, training classes etc. They do nail trims, sanitary clips and anal gland expression as am included service but grooming is an additional fee. Their medical exclusions are chemotherapy and organ transplant but that is it. They microchip, cover liscence fees, vaccinate, dental clean and blood panel etc etc. I have a co worker who has an English bulldog who is part of Hannah and he is super happy with their services. He gets prescription shampoo and has his pet food delivered to our work. They even have transportation and boarding options. He pays 128$ a month and you renew the contract every year- your fee doesn't change even if a health issue arises, you don't pay a deductible and there is no cap. Anyway, for the average pet owner it sounds pretty darn cool. Anybody here on it? Have any feedback?

| Check the reviews. I don't live in the area but the reviews send up a lot of flags, ownership questions, food choices and a lack of communication.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Wow, very interesting. The premise is very intriguing and seems actually quite cost effective in many ways, don't you think? Awesome that they don't change their fees on you! How are the reviews in your area?

| Well, I looked up some reviews. Their model is very contraversial and has sparked some pretty intense feelings. I read four newspaper articles, 25 yelp reviews and their better business bureau records a nd ratings. So it would seem that their primary business is to find a pet for you (using compatibility software) and that that is the biggest point of contention and media publicity- the issue of ethically sourcing pets. I guess they are supposed to be rehoming shelter pets but a lot of shelters won't work with them cause they "only pick the super cute and adoptable ones" but then a more rural shelter is really excited to be working with them because having Hanna's support has more than doubled their rehoming? They also have sourced dogs from non rescue situations. This seems to be the primary complaint for hannah. As an already pet owner the thing that freaks me out the most is that you actually sign over legAl ownership of yor dog which provides the loophole that they are using to operate- this aspect did get some media attention such as 'rent a dog' etc but seemed to be a lesser focused on point (which is surprising to me because it elicits intense feelings for me) but I spose it received less attention because they have never actually taken a pet from anyone and has thus far been more of a formality. Then it gets more murky. Most of the negative reviews were not from actual customers. A couple were and there were some concerns about veterinary care- which if corse if a huge deal! The reviews from actual customers often were five star satisfaction but again there were few reviews from actual customers. My co worker has been on hannah for...I think less than a year and he and his lady are elated. Bruno had a lot of health issues- mostly allergies and skin issues, cherry eye, un descended testicle etc and they pay 128$ which includes training classes and have nothing but good things to say. Eeek! I didn't realize what a can of worms I would be investigating. This is a very controversial topic apperantely. They are talking about national expansion.

| Hi. I'm from Oregon and have checked it out. I think it's a pretty good program, but I really want to choose my vet and choose the food I feed. I decided to get pet insurance after checking them out. Other insurance, costs about $25 per month less than Trupanion, and I figure I can buy the food I want for that amount. Trupanion is the plan I chose because my vet checked it out and said it sounded like the best plan he'd seen. (No he doesn't get a kick back). Another thing I was thinking is if you ever move or travel to someplace out of Oregon or Washington and your pup gets sick, then what? I just decided with the food and the vet choices, I thought Trupanion was better for me. |

| I'm afraid that the regional forum for my are seems pretty inactive. There are 18 individual posts from 2014 and 2-3 threads from 2014. I tried posting in the regional when I first signed up and had pretty quiet response- I bet Texas area is hoppin though!

| Yeah, Washington and Oregon don't seem to be the popular regions on YT. I've posted on the regional forum before, but find it pretty useless because you won't get a response
