YT 500 Club Member | Lost Yorkie My mom called me a few hours ago because her and my niece found a Yorkie in the middle of the highway not near any homes. They stopped and picked her up because she almost got hit. It's a girl that seem to be small but is turning silver/gray towards the rear. My mom lives in Daytona Beach, Fl. The puppy has no collar and is not matted. I explained to my mom she probably went missing today. I got a pic but it's not a good one. You can't see the face at all. My mom will send me one when the pup lets her..lol. Just wanted to share this for anyone in that area and also feedback on what she should do. I told her to got to a vet tomorrow to see if she had a chip. Anymore advice? |

| Oh no! Poor baby she was probably terrified being out there alone. Your mom is awesome for picking her up and getting her out of that environment. I would suggest what you said about bringing her to a vet to check for a chip. Possibly find a Facebook group that might advertise lost pets in the Daytona area, or since a lot of people are searching through Craigslist for puppies/lost pets post an ad on there saying how she's been found but you need some sort of proof to know she belongs to whoever might email you in regards to her. |

| Good thing your mom got her to safety. I hope her owners are looking for her and she is reunited with them.

YT 500 Club Member | My mom took the Yorkie to the Humane Society this morning. The dog has no chip. The policy is for her to put up flyers for 15 days not counting wknds or holidays. And leave her info for contact incase someone calls. She's not to give the puppy no vaccination during this time. If no one claims the puppy after the 15 days, it's hers. I put a notice on my Facebook page and I've gotten no hits. I'll check Craigslist like someone suggested. |

YT 500 Club Member | Lost Yorkie update. Well the yorkie my mom found still hasn't been claimed. The vet says she a year old and 5lbs. And the bad part about it is she in heat. My mom also has 2 dogs at home, but thank god they are fixed. Oh yeah my mom has been calling her Angel |

| What a beautiful lil girl, from the picture she looks well taken care of. Bless your sweet mom for saving this lil baby. I pray she is reunited with her owner, I would be devastated if my lil boy were to ever get lost. I am sure there is someone out there that is looking for this sweet lil girl.

| Did your mom post a picture of the lost girl on those Facebook pages I linked? The Florida Yorkie Rescue page would be a good place to post a picture of a lost Yorkie in Florida. |

| Thank goodness your mom found her. And I agree that it would be wonderful if she could be reunited with her owner. I can't imagine how upset I would be if I lost a pet. Her owner must be going a bit nuts. I'm glad she was found and hoping for a reunion soon! |
