| New Here - Introduction Hi everyone - I just wanted to say hello. I was a Yorkie owner until just over a year and a half ago. My 10 year old girl, Peyton, passed away and I just didn't have it in me to get another pup then. Now that I'd like to have another dog, I've decided that it will definitely be another Yorkie. Actually, I want two. I'm checking in here to refresh my memory on all of the things to look for when getting a new pup so I can begin my search. It can be overwhelming and I've already read some good info on where not to buy. I'll be searching the forum but if you have positive experiences or recommendations to share, I'd love to know that too. Hopefully sometime over the next few months I'll be a Yorkie 'mom' again. Thanks! |

| I'm very sorry about your loss of Peyton. I hope you are able to find a yorkie baby or two. We lost our last Yorkie in June 2010 close to her seventeenth birthday. We had lost her two Yorkie sisters a few years before her. Katie joined our family on Mother's Day 2012, and she brought back the life, laughter, and love to our home. Welcome to YorkieTalk.

| Thank you for the welcome and sharing your story lisaly. It was a really tough time. The loss came during an otherwise stressful period and I just decided to not have another pup for a while. But it's time now. And yay for Katie |

| Thank you both. In a short period, I've found one. He's not with me yet but will be in a couple of months. In time, I'll find #2. In the meantime, I've been reading up on the tremendous amount of info here. This place is a great resource. |
