| My 2 year old female yorkie humps everything all the time! ?!? Is it normal for a female dog to hump? My Belle does it quite often and has a specific pillow she uses. My daughter named the pillow the humper. I have never seen a female dog do this? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | LMAO!! Is she having make-up sex with a stuffed toy with whom she had an argument? Our girl humps her donut bed...so I don't think it's too unusual. She and her donut bed usually have a date in the morning, after breakfast.

YT 500 Club Member | Sammie humps his bed all the time. I got him neutered and I was hoping it would stop but it has not yet. He just got neutered. I did have a maltese and she would hump my male dog. I think it is a dominence thing. |

| At one time I had 4 females now all past, 2 were not spayed, 2 were, the 2 un-spayed would hump the spayed ones when the spayed ones were just puppies, so the pups thought it was playing, as they grew to be adults they would not accept the humping.. The spayed ones never humped, they were the humpies. At that time it surprised me that females did this, but seems to be common.

| "No" command and push them off the object, if you start first time they try it will be easy to break this. |

| Billi humps my step-daughters dog's head from time to time, which is funny to me. Then there's 1 monkey toy that she's always humped on, only when we're in the middle of playing. I know it's a dominance thing, nothing sexual and thankfully she doesn't do it often. A firm "no!" and push off the toy usually keeps her from doing it again for a while. Still funny to see a little girl doing the humpty on a monkey toy tho!!

| When Callie was a puppy it was very bad and it was people not things and the only way to get her to stop was a squirt bottle of water. She maybe does it once every 8 months if that. It's a dominance thing not sexual.

| Lilah has a couple of toys she specifically does this to, I realize it's a dominance thing but can be kind of annoying. I feel like she does it more when she is not getting good excercise and that it decreases substantially when she is getting lots of walks and outdoor time.
