I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Marking Spray I just bought some Nature's Miracle "No More Marking" that is said to have a "natural repellent." First let me say, I have two male dogs and every week we have two more male dogs visit and then monthly another male dog visits. I think because of all the male visitors, I have more of a problem with marking, so when I found Nature's Miracle marking spray, I had to try it. I have long linen curtains that are a favorite for my visiting dogs and I was about ready to get rid of them. I used the spray on them as well as a bathroom throw rug and it's been two weeks now an nobody marked on any of them. The rug needed to be washed and I put a duplicate out without spraying it, it was new and since they didn't touch the other one in two weeks and it had been marked before, I wasn't worried. First day, they marked or peed on it, not sure which because they do use pee pads. So I'm washing both now and I'll spray both before I put one down again. Anyway, I wanted to mention the product because I've asked about this sort of thing before and nobody has ever mentioned anything, so it may be a fairly new product. If it continues working, it could make my life a lot easier.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Interesting, thanks for posting about this, I'm going to try it bc Marcel and Wylie have a few that they seem to think need marking...sigh!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Lol, some dogs have a mind of their own! I just checked out the reviews on Amazon and people have given it a pretty good review, you do have to spray every couple of weeks or so, I'm glad I read that, because I'm going to go spray my curtains right now. Anyway, here's the reviews if someone else wants to check it out. Even the worst review said that it worked, it just didn't remove all the odor from previous accidents. I use regular Nature's Miracle for that and really saturate it, then after that has dried, I spray this on. | I need to try that. Joel and Milo have this ritual that whenever they visit each others house they mark everything and even poo, no matter how much they go outside before they go to each others houses. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Marking is different than peeing, they will mark even if they don't have any desire to pee, it's more of a hormonal thing and similar to a sneeze. Can you really train someone not to sneeze or yawn? No really, you can do some things that might lessen the activity, but when certain stimuli occur, it produces certain responses that we have little control over. The idea of the spray, is to stop the stimuli from occurring in the first place. By the way, if your dog hasn't been fixed, he will mark more often than a neutered dog. Neutering helps significantly. However, if you have more than one dog, they can actually help each other to produce more testosterone, through the adrenal glands, and testosterone promotes marking behavior.

| I've used two different types of that Nature's Miracle spray that both are suppose to deter and stuff. My girl just keeps peeing and stuff there ^^; I think since I been using it since she was younger, she's simply accustomed to it or just don't care X_x; Right now I mainly just use it to clean and deodorize.
