| You need to make sure they have had all of there puppy shots for two weeks before going to a groomer. Mine go shaved her first hair cut because I thought I had been combing her good but that darn puppy hair got matted!

| Dex is 4 1/2 months and he has his first grooming appointment for this coming Friday We're rather excited as his puppy hair has a really tendency to mat. I plan to take a bunch of 'before' pictures because I have this suspicion it's going to feel like I'm coming home afterwards with the wrong pup! Underneath all the black, his hair is coming in silvery grey on his body, and blonde on his head. |

| Teddy was almost six months old and I was in shock the first time he was cut. the groomer did a great job but I really never realized how little my dog was and his legs seemed to just go on forever like a fawn...lol I don't have pics, though! I think after the initial shock of seeing their puppy fur gone, you will appreciate the shorter cut for ease w/grooming. |

| I would just recommend being very specific about what you want done around the face so you aren't disappointed. Some groomers trim the hair around the eyes which is a problem if you are waiting for THAT to grow out. |

| I had to do mine a little bit on and off before I could take her to the groomers, I took her at about 11-12 weeks for her first visit (she was nearly done with her shots). Had taken her again a couple of days ago for a more grownup cut. Both times (thought it was a fluke the first time, lol) they said she behaved beautifully! She of course doesn't for me :P
