| Winnie update Winnie is now 15 weeks and had her last dhppv today. Next week she gets her rabies and then she is all set for a year. They clipped her toenails for me since she acts like I'm trying to kill her when I try to do it! She is still only 2# and the vet said she will only be maybe 3-4# when she's grown....I thought she may get closer to 5# I guess it's still possible! She has been on blue buffalo since she was weaned but she has had very soft poops ....no worms so the vet suggested may be too much protein. So we tried wellness sloooooowly introduced....she gets 1/8 cup am and pm for her meals and I added about 5 kibbles of wellness to her BB. ....and it gave her straight diarrhea and awful breath! So we are on the hunt for a new food for her. I know food is a huge debate and every pup is different so any suggestions would be welcomed! |

| Many of the breeders suggest feeding Royal Canin Puppy food for the first year. You might want to try it.

| I have two big problems with royal canin....it contains corn gluten meal and it's $17 for a 2.5# bag....we used to carry royal canin in our office and I don't remember it being that expensive!! That just seems to be overpriced to me...just my opinion. I love my Winnie don't get me wrong...but that is just way too rich for my blood. |

| I use Wellness Core puppy and have mixed some Wellness Small breed puppy a little, but still like the Core one as it's grain free. It's done wonders for my jack rusells (though they are older) and has been good to my yorkie so far :3 But as it seems, it may not be for your pup. Or maybe try something else from blue buffalo. There's Dog Food Reviews and Ratings | Dog Food Advisor that offers plenty of suggestions and stuff on doggie foods
