| I hate to break the news to you but be prepared that even after he is neutered he may still try to hump. I had 2 mini dachshunds who after being neutered still tried to hump their stuffed animals or each other. Also my sister & daughter's yorkies still hump too. Lol. Remy was just neutered yesterday so we will see if he will still try to do it. Best of luck!

| My FEMALE Phoebe will hump her doggie stairs. It's funny, because thats the only thing she humps. I thought at first that maybe there was a smell on the fabric cover (it was given to us), but then I bought a second set so she could get on the bed & she humps that as well! I've heard that humping is a "dominant" issue, and not always fixed by spaying/neutering. Good luck with your pup!

| Jackson is almost 6 and still humps Pillow Pets. LOL... luckily no real people or animals though, just the stuffed variety. My dads female JRT was spayed at 5 months or so, and she is now 7ish... still humps a stuffed duck. AND my dads Dachshund mix also fixed was just caught humping the REAL cat the other night Good luck... haha... honestly? It's more of a training issue. We just don't really care or bother to stop them as it's never been a big problem.

YT 500 Club Member | Hopefully it will slow it down a little. I can't have any blankets around and the winter is comming here!! LOL It does not really bother me but it bothers my husband and 9 year old daughter. At least when he is fixed he won't be able to have a happy ending if you know what I mean. That is the only part that bothers me!! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | This thread brings back memories, I use to laugh myself senseless when I saw Joey hump, I thought it was hilarious, I almost miss it a little, I don't think it's so funny on a big dog, but to see a little dog do it, cracked me up. Anyway, the testosterone is still in their blood after surgery, so it took a month before Joey stopped. Their adrenal glands still make some testosterone and this varies greatly between dogs, so he might continue to hump, but as you say, no happy ending!

| We just got our boy neuter 3 days ago. He is crazy. He already wants to run around and play after the first day. Anyways, I just noticed today that he is humping more than before he got neuter. He can't hump his sister so he wants to hump my arms. Always have to put a stop to his humping. He is also a little more wild and crazy than before neutering.

| He only get the cone at night time so we can sleep. We didn't put it on him the first night and we kept getting up to make sure he wasn't licking. I can't believe he acts like he is not in pain or just had surgery. During day time, we have to keep him lock up in cage wrap around blanket to keep him calm and from wanting to play.
