| Purebred or mixed, what do you think? This summer I got the sweetest little puppy named Bunny who the breeder told us was purebred. It was a little weird from the start because the person we got her from told us she came from registered parents but that she didn't register the puppies themselves. The parents weren't there when we got her but we were showed pictures. Truth be told, I wasn't looking for a purebred puppy when I got her. I was just looking for a companion in general, non breed specific and it was a stroke of luck that the puppy I bonded instantly with was a Yorkie. She has since won me over more each and every day with her sweet, colorful personality. I could honestly care less if she were purebred, she is my little girl either way and she's as close to perfect as a dog can be for me. I just enjoy facts and I have heard from various sources different thoughts on her genetic background. I have heard she may be part Silky from the vet we first took her to, but I have also heard that she does look full Yorkie from some others. She is pretty big for a Yorkie puppy, being 6lbs at 15 weeks. She does have the black saddle but it is actually growing out to show a reddish-gold blonde at the roots with age. She has floppy ears that start out the same blondish color then fade to white and are tipped in black. She is a gorgeous dog who I believe could possibly be purebred but I wanted to ask for some more opinions from experienced Yorkie owners. What do you think? https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ui...&sz=w1884-h669 |
