she ate chicken bones!! :( My yorkie is a year and a half y/o she managed to remove the soft bone and a bit of the chicken bones edge. Im worried she might not digest it well. Its been 2hrs since it happened. She still runs and barks. Will she be okay? How long would it take to know if she's fine? Please help me.

| please call your vet immediately to assure you should have no vomiting induced...not sure if that is still possible but better to check with them and be safe.

I agree that the best thing to do is contact your vet for advice on the problem as they can best advise you. Best wishes to you and your little one. Let us know how it all turns out.

still worried Its been 24hrs and she's doing fine. Vet said to just monitor her vowel movements and if she looks like in pain, depressed or vomitting. She doesn't seem to be having anything as such but will still look after her. Vowel movement is still as usual. Thanks!!

I went through that once…got up because I heard a noise and thought someone was knocking at my door. I had been watching tv and eating dinner in the family room. Totally nerve wracking and the little bugger looked at me so proud of his 'capturing' this 'snack' I don't think I slept a wink that night and it was a crazy snow stormy night with the Emergency Vet more than 30 miles in very little visibility on the roads. All ended well but it was a good lesson learned.
