| Fur color Hi all, I was wondering if you could look at my albums which show Teddy from a baby at 12 weeks to him today at 11 months and let me know if you think his head will ever turn from gray to gold or stay gray? The back of his head is very pale blonde. I don't mind how he ends up but I would be interested to know as my other yorkies were gold and silver so he is new to me! Also, I would be interested to know if he will change much in the next 2 years or if what we see is what he be! |

| All of my girls (my Rainbow Bridge babies) and now Katie turned silver and then eventually blonde or tan before they were three. I imagine that the same will happen to Teddy. He's a cutie pie. Katie head was dark, and I took a while for her to lighten. She was with the breeder until three years of age, but it have photos of her. She is five now, and she has a beautiful tan color on her now. My past Yorkies were blonder.

I didn't know if, because he's almost a year, what his chances were of actually going more gold. I can't remember the transition from when my other babies were growing and my parents can't help cuz they don't remember with theirs either. We are useless! I'll just sit back and wait and see what happens then. For now, he is my little Silver Fox like Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan..Liam Neeson? lol!

| This is Katie at 11 months with her breeder. You can see in my album what she looks like now or my avatar which is blonder than she really is due to the glow of the sun. Teddy is gorgeous.

First of all, Katie is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! Her coat is so shiny and gorgeous! Teddy has a very cottony coat so I just assumed he's stay gray on his head because of it but I guess we never know for sure. I wouldn't have thought your Katie would have changed so drastically so I'm a poor judge of these things! This is the first Yorkie I have had from a puppy. My other two I had from about the age of three and up so I never asked as many questions about coat changes. Thanks so much for sharing your pics and knowledge. Truly appreciated!

| Tibbe's head turned white on the top a while after getting him at age 9 mos. and stayed white for quite some time but about age 4 or 5 or so, his head began to turn golden tan or blonde and has stayed that way since.

| I believe it can take up to three years for the Yorkie coat to mature, so you may have a little more wait ahead...LOL. While you are waiting, however you have one cutie pie Teddy bear Yorkie to love, and that is worth the wait IMHO.

Sean Connery, Robert Redford or George Clooney - I'll take either one of them in his prime, though Sean is probably the tallest and for me, the taller the man the better.

| Cuddles my yorkie has always had a gray head. It has become more blonde but is still gray. It just depends on your dog. He could have gray or blonde hair, you never know. you can check out my album to see pictures of Cuddles.

Cuddles is very sweet!!! Both of your dogs are! I think the gray hair is cute so I won't mind if it stays that way. Makes me feel better about my own hair color lol

| Laddy was silver on top until he was 3 years old and now is a pale gold. Teddy is a cutie no matter the color.
