| Homemade Dog Food Recipe anyone? I have 3 Yorkie's , Stella, Tess, and Rose they are 12 y/o They have increased bun levels but at last vet visit they said there levels had come down. This is how we lost there mother last year...so needless to say i am extremely worried that they are not wanting to eat. I have tried all kinds of food from the most expensive to the cheapest ( i was thinking it would be like a person and sometimes you just want food that isn't that good for you ) anyway they aren't liking much. We bought dried veggies that you add chicken olive oil and water to and that isn't working either...Tonight my little Rosie wouldn't eat anything even a scambled egg!!! So i was wondering if anyone has a recipe for something healthy that might temp them?? Thanks |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Since you have some special dietary needs but want to homecook, it'd be super easy for you to contact www.balanceit.com - and they will formulate for you and make sure your supplements are in correct balance.

| I just started home cooking for Zoey at the suggestion of my vet. He gave me the balanceit.com website. She loves her food even though it is just chicken and rice and vitamins. She has had pancreatitis so she must he on a low fat diet.

| This site has very good info of nutrition for dogs w/kidney disease. DogAware.com Health: Diet for Dogs with Kidney Disease I know their values are ok now, but her not eating can be a sign that something is wrong. Kidneys are one of the organs in our bodies that cannot repair itself. Has she been back to the vet since she lost her appetite?

| I would at least call my vet! He/she should give you a prescription dog food and probably will want to see them. |
