| New to forum and a new puppy! Hi there - New puppy owner here! I'm sure I'll be utilizing this forum a LOT. We just got a beautiful puppy yesterday. This is my first dog, so it's all quite the experience. So far, he's been extremely good and I look forward to seeing him thrive and grow. Definitely have some questions, but I'll see if I can't hunt down some answers before posting them |

Last night went really well. We're trying to crate train him (we named him Magnus). He whines for about 10 minutes when I put him in, but then settles. Tonight - my husband put him in and he's settling down really well. Almost no whining. I'm thinking maybe he's taken to me in a 'mother' sense and suffers a little more separation anxiety when its me crating him. Guess that's my hubby's new job! | |

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. You are so lucky to have your first "dog" be a Yorkie, and you have got a lot of fun ahead with your little one. As time goes on, you will probably find that Yorkies aren't really dogs, they are little kids with fur. and they are absolutely amazing.

| Hello and thank you. My sister has a yorkie. He's a wonderful dog. It's the biggest reason we wanted one. I can only hope ours is as good. With lots of love and training... I'm sure he will be! We named him Magnus. |

| Welcome to YT, you have selected an awesome breed, I have had yorkies for over 30 years. Since your sister has one I am sure you know they are high energy, full of spirit, charm, personality, entertainers and you will have have many belly laughs. Just a heads up, they LOVE to shred tissues, toilet paper, napkins etc. lol, I think it's a yorkie thing lol. They grow so fast, enjoy this time of his life and yes, training early pays off with a big reward of a wee well trained lil baby.

| Thanks so much everyone. My poor puppy has had some awful, smelly, diahrea. I hear that's possibly from stress. I took him to the vet and the vet is concerned because other than the diahrea, he hears an abnormal heartbeat. Soooo... now I'm stressed too. I hope everything is okay. After looking online, I see it could possibly be a Sinus Arrythmia. I contacted the breeder and she thinks I should stay calm and that its probably nothing. Any thoughts from anyone? And last but not least... a picture |

| Welcome to YT. Magnus looks so precious! Are you feeding him the same food the breeder was feeding him? Is the vet running any other tests on him? Did the vet say it was a heart murmur?
