| He should be fine to be alone by Monday, I believe. Wishing Gizmo well!

| Best of luck to Gizmo. You always feel so sorry for them when they have to go through these things. I am making a vet appt for Remy tomorrow because I believe he still has some baby teeth. I've been waiting to have him neutered because of his size but I think it's about time. He uses the pee pads all the time and lifts his leg, however yesterday I caught him getting ready to lift his left on my hubby's gym bag. Not good...I guess it was just a matter of time before the marking instinct struck. I am so worried about him going under because of his size that it is stressing me out. I don't want anything to happen to him. We have an awesome vet who took care of our 2 dachshunds when they were alive. He is so compassionate and I know if he feels Remy is still too little he will advise me to wait a little longer. I know it's the right thing to do and I'm just going to have to get over it but it bothers me not knowing how he will handle the anesthesia.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | As long as you're home w/ him after his surgery to keep an eye on things, that should be all you need...they snap back very quickly from dentals, but don't be surprised if he's very groggy/low/droopy the first day/night of the procedure. Make sure you have pain meds and def give them.

| I originally scheduled it for Friday, but we have dinner plans and I didn't want to leave him alone, not even for a couple of hours. The vet said it would be okay cuz he will just sleep, but what if something should go wrong and I'm not there... no bueno!!!! Cat2861 - how small is Remy? |

| Lexi just had 1 tooth extracted yesterday. I dropped her off at 8am and was able to pick her up at 1. The vet also sent me home with 3 days worth of pain meds. She started to act more like her self by the end of the day and today you would never even know she was put under yesterday! The only thing I don't like is that she has been coughing a bit since she got back, but I hear that can happen because of the tube they put down their throat. |

She coughed a couple times yesterday after bringing her home and 3 times this morning, but hasn't coughed since. It's one of those things that vets don't think to mention to you so when it happens you start to freak out! | |
