| Suddenly sleeping under the bed My yorkie is 7 and has always slept on the bed, all of a sudden he has decided he is going to sleep under it. I am not sure why after all these years he's changed his sleeping arrangements. Anyone else had this issue? I hate that he's under the bed. |

| Under bed Hello. Welcome to YT! That is strange that your boy has started wanting to sleep under the bed. Only he knows why, but they don't tell, LOL! I know mine will do this if he is scared of a noise or sometimes if he feels bad. It could be he just found out he likes the dark under there? I guess time will reveal the reason? Hope he returns to his normal behavior soon. |

| Funny, my Yorkie slept under the bed last night too and he normally doesn't do that, he is an on the bed kind of guy. I don't think he is feeling well, he threw up some phlegm today and pooped on the floor which is something he does not do. Maybe your baby isn't feeling well. |

| Welcome to YT, None of my babies ever did this, maybe it's cooler under the bed, our bodies give off a lot of heat, or, if you have A/C on in your bed room, he may be looking for a warmer spot.

| Is he doing this only at night, or during the day too? Sometimes a sudden change in behavior can be an indication that a dog is not feeling well. Other times, it is just a temporary quirky behavior.

Yorkie Yakker | This is a little of the topic, but still to do with the bed. Our Bella, 3 months old, sleeps with us on the bed (between my husband and myself or at our feet). She usually use to lick me in order to wake me up for her to potty and has been very good at doing it - until last night. She wet our bed on my husband's side of all places. He was of course very upset. We don't have a garden and trained her on newspaper. My question is, what do I do next time she does this? By the time we see the oeps she's forgotten about it so scolding her about it won't make scene to her. I don't wanna do anything that may alter her behavior towards me. |

YT Addict | It's like their cave! My female live to sleep under the dining table in the rv when the bed was made. She would chase our male out so she could keep it to herself. Just make sure he's not peeing under there. If he is you may want to put containers under there to prevent him from going under. |

| Yeah my yorkie likes to hide under the bed when he feels guilty of being naughty. He used to pee under our bed constantly so we have learned to block the space off with containers, blankets, etc. Sometimes he finds a way to get under regardless of the barricades, but he doesn't potty in there anymore at least. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | As long as you think his health is okay, and that he is not in pain - causing isolating - then I think he's probably just changing up his routine.

| Jackson has been sleeping under the bed more at night, but I think it's because he gets hot on the bed. He tends to cuddle more in the winter than the summer

| Katie also goes under the bed when she's hot. I cut her hair because she was so hot, and we walk and play outside for long periods of time. She's back on the bed now with us, but occasionally she will go under the bed. She has a large stash of balls under there.

| Maybe it is because it is cooler under there? Have u checked to see if he has something hidden under there that he is protecting? |

| Billi just started doing that about a month ago... She only does it during the day when the ac is blasting, so I figure it's warmer, darker and quieter for her. Sometime's she hides there nor too before bathtime. Thankfully we have the majority of it blocked off so she only has about 6 inches to hide..
