| Newbie Here Hi All, I just joined this forum. Came across it when I was researching 'luxating patella' for my 12 year old Yorkie, Chloe. Her right rear leg was causing her severe pain the other night and she couldn't put ANY weight on it. By yesterday morning she was much better but is favoring it intermittently. Its either the lunation or perhaps th on set of arthritis. Prior to this she has been in excellent health. Anyway wanted to introduce myself and Chloe to the YT board. timtruro |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT ! I'd get your kiddo to the vet to have her knee checked - if it's LP, it needs to be graded by a vet as 1,2,3, or 4. Grades 3-4 often need surgery.

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I am sorry your 12 year old girl is having some leg problems. Perhaps she just hurt it a little and will recovery quickly. If she gets better you may still want to talk to the vet about putting her on a joint supplement that might help if it is arthritis.
