| Milo is 9 months old and 3 lbs 6 1/2 oz. How much bigger will he get? Anyone know? Milo is just the joy of my life these days (of course Cassie is too) :-), and although Cassie doesn't like him, it gives her something to growl at (LOL). He is 9 months in 3 days and I was wondering if he would get any bigger than he is now. The doctor told me he wants me to keep his weight at this current weight because he has a collapsed trachea and how much he weighs makes a difference. I was told that around this age they stop growing, he that correct? He has gotten a bit bigger than the chart says he would be, although he's followed the growth chart all along until it ended at 6 months. They say at 18 months he should be 3 lbs, but he is now 3.61/2 lbs, so wondering if he would grow much more than he already is. Anyone have any idea? Thanks, Shellie |

| It really depends on his lines. Some pups go through growth spurts later. Most pups fill out more but remain the same size. It's difficult to know. As long as Milo's not overweight, it shouldn't affect his trachea.

| Honestly, I've never heard of growth stopping before one year, but I, personally, am no expert. In addition, a healthy, normal weight, regardless of how long it takes to get there, will not affect the trachea...obesity can, but growing to a natural, healthy size will not. |

| My 2 stopped growing around a year but filled out some until they were 2. Kyra was 2.9 lbs at 1 year and is now 3lbs. Think it all depends on the pup. Laddy was 3.5lbs at a year and now is almost 5lbs.

| Thanks guys, as long as he's healthy, thats all I care about, as I've had my share of drama in the ER and Vets office. He seems healthy enough, except the doc says his liver enzymes are a little high. Slightly worried about that and his honking bark also a bit worried. Thanks all! Shellie |
