Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I am so sorry you are hurt. I hope you feel better soon I do have to giggle a little bit. Seeing yours and the others "war" stories. . . The things we do for our babies. . . for them to have fun, be safe and we forget that we have to be safe too. I do the "Biewer" shuffle, but still sometimes go flying. Fell over the ex pen. Yet I don't go to the dr. But if a little scratch happen to him. . . Off to the vet ! We need to remember if we don't take care of ourselves then who is going to take care of them !

| After my knee surgery last month I had to go have my stitches fixed because my "teacup" 15lb yorkie decided to jump off the top of the couch right onto my knee.... evil little things

| Oh and another one, before the knee incident... I decided to walk all 3 together (not the first time but this may be the last)... on the way home we're crossing the street when Sapphire decides to run around my legs wrapping me up like a mummy! I start to freak bc the street can be busy at times, and I can't move! I look both ways for any cars coming, TG there are none, but they can come on quick. So instead of trying to free myself in the middle of the road, I decide to hobble, hop and shuffle my way to the side of the road, which I managed to do without falling down, or stepping on a dog, but it was no easy feat! It was only maybe 10 feet at the most, but I could only move a few inches at a time, lol. Seemed like it took forever! I don't know what got into her... she's never done that before. Maybe they don't like me anymore and are trying to get rid of me! SMH! Thank God I only take one at a time in the kayak! Tink's 1st time in the kayak she was so excited she was digging at the bottom of it and got two scupper plugs out (these keep the water out, or can be removed to let water in for stability in rough waters). Genius me, it was spring and the water hadn't warmed up too much, so she got wet and my butt was wet, I think she thought it was great fun! I decided to pull over to a sandy tiny beach to bail out the kayak and let her loose for a bit. She was just fascinated with the teeny waves lapping onto the shore, barking at them and trying to bite at them. She was covered with sand by the time I was ready to go, so into the water for a quick rinse then home we went! I think she had a blast bc she wouldn't let me out of her sight for hours afterwards, I guess in case I went again, she didn't want to miss out. And yes, we both had life vests on!

| For those of you having problems getting over gates (me included)....they sell walk through gates that make life so much easier. They can cost a bit more but considering the ease of use they are well worth the investment. Most local stores don't sell them but there are several styles available online. Some are pressure gates and some need some installation. My knees started bothering me when I had to keep stepping over a gate that was put up for my granddaughter's sake. Had great relief after getting the walk through gate. |

| Sorry about the knees, I have to be very careful playing with Gina since I had to have both knees replaced 9 years ago at the tender age of 36, now 45. Thankfully I'm 6ft2in and can step over gates and ex-pens. I have several scratches on my knee scars from Gina launching herself at the cats and using my knees as the second spring board, evil little girl. We do play as hard as I can but I'm a disabled veteran and can only do so much, but she so loves to play and I love her enough to make myself hurt more making her happy. Cheers Quad & Gina

| LOL! I shouldn't laugh, but they are definitely dangerous. I don't know how many times I've hurt myself while chasing them in play, tripping over the dog gate, or not so gracefully avoiding stepping on one. But, I don't think it has to do with age, my 6 year nephew hurt himself playing too.

| Waaaaaah! Just came back from the Doc's.... should have went when it first happened... duh!... Now my summer is OVER! I'll be in a knee brace for 6-10 weeks! It would have been almost healed if I had it braced sooner, now it'll heal but it will take longer. Oh Poop!

| That's to bad. I hope your knee gets better soon. I have sprung my knee twice over the years and I still have problems with it every now and then. I have to be really careful when I walk or it will pop out of the joint and that really hurts.

YT 2000 Club Member | dog So glad you are better. Yorkie gates are dangerous. I have the walk through kind with the gate that has a wood bar going across the bottom. My friend Marilyn tripped over that and broke her hip! Watch out if you get this kind of fence. Yorkies are so lovable I would not live without one or two . I have two now, love em |
