| Eating Hair MJ got his first bath from me and a small trim on his hair. While the hair fell to ground, I noticed he started to eat it? How do I stop this? Anyone else have a dog that does that? |

| MJ is still a puppy right? They will try anything just to experience the way it feels. Hopefully he will outgrow it. |

| Yea he is, I hope so! I'll have to warn the groomer about it! Hope he's not coughing up fur balls tonight. I tried to stop it once I saw, but not sure how much he got down. |

| Lexi does this too. I groom her myself and she always tries to eat the hair. I just have to keep pushing it out of the way. Glad I am not the only one with a hair eater! |

| Cookie did it too when before she reached one year. They will put EVERYTHING in their mouths at that age. Now that Cookie is 15 months old she only puts almost everything in her mouth.

| It's normal, especially since he's a puppy. Puppies like to eat everything, lol.

| Should I be overly concerned that he had a chunk or two of hair to eat? Or just wait it out and look for any signs of illness? |

| Most likely, he'll poop it out. I had to pull out a hair or two while they were pooping b/c the poop was dangling on the hair and wouldn't fall off. LOL There are other members that did the same. But in the meantime, please do keep an eye on him for any signs of illness. Being a puppy, he's very vulnerable. Besides, never hurts to be cautious. |

| I'm sure he will be just fine. Puppy's will pretty much try to pick up anything so just keep a close eye on him. You never know what they will get into.
