| When you sound like you you are talking down to someone it does come accross preachy and contributes to drama on a thread, Im not pointing fingers at anyone Ive just been on both sides of it, I have been preached at and I have came accross preachy and see what it does in a thread. I dont see why Anns words have to be rehashed over and over though I think everyone read the thread and understood so what is the point anyway. Anyone that thinks the underlining tone in this forum is negative needs to go to other forums. They also need to realize that there are people like me on here that have witnessed the very people accused on here of having a bad tone soften up there posting on here I have witnessed it and I give all the credit to Ann for taking charge and moderating this forum and doing her best to set the tone. But do we need more than Ann doing it dont you think she is doing a good job I do

| Yes, I do...! I find Anne to be thoughtful, understanding, articulate, well-versed, open-minded, compassionate, and extremely intelligent. When she 'speaks'--on any topic--I listen. Anne obviously has a keen sense of humor; plus she seems wonderfully personable, approachable and human, like the rest of us...Mind you, I know Wylie's Mom only through her posts on Yorkie Forum, but I admire and trust her--and am grateful for her insights and advice and support. She somehow manages to make each of us feel special--and even more so when she compliments our pups. What a gal!! |

Admin and the Mods must feel sometimes that administering this site is like herding cats but they all do a fine job keeping it up and running smoothly and when they speak, I listen and try to shape up. I'll do anything to keep YT a vital, growing force on the web for helping Yorkies and other dogs.

| Years ago I was on a controversial thread and I said something that other members didnt like and called me out on but I didnt see the error of my way untill the moderator pmed and kindly told me I was out of line and asked me to appologize. I dont know they still may do that but if they dont I do see Ann coming on threads and making it a point to let someone know in a constructive non preachy way that I know hits a note with someone and makes them think of there actions better than if a member does it. When a member does it they just become defensive then there is drama on the thread. Ive seen that even in this thread and I am just on the outside looking in on the situation Im not taking anyones side

| An apology does go along way, even if you think you were right it doesn't hurt. I don't think there's a person on here that thinks this is a negative site. Just the opposite. The knowledge and information learned here is priceless. A few ruffled feathers here and there doesn't change that. Sure we can do better here and in all aspects of our life. |

YT 1000 Club Member | I am always afraid to see what new stuff is posted on here. My own personal experience on here is to stay away from certain topics. There is also at least one member that once they get on the thread, I bail. They do not know how to be nice to others and I have gotten into it with them so I just walk away from that thread at that point because they just say the same thing over and over and won't listen to what anyone else has to say. Once they join the thread I leave the topic because some people just will not be nice or even listen to others. Other than that I really enjoy this forum. I honestly hope a moderator sends them a message about some of their recent posts. If anyone says anything about others being mean on a thread that person (who is being mean or rude) is the first person to whine and say "then tell a moderator about it." They obviously do not recognize themselves as being so mean and rude to us. I almost left the forum months ago because of that one person, but I stayed because for that one person I had met at least 10 that were nice.
