| And the spending spree begins.... Hi everyone, I have noticed as I have read the post along this board that most everyone does spend quite a bit on their little ones. I am currently waiting not so patiently to get my new baby. (I should get her by this weekend)I have found though that even before I had found my puppy I was already excited and started buying stuff here and there. A few toys a bed, blanket filter water system or and lets not forget the clothes. I notice I am not the only one to spoil these little guys but I was wondering if it wares off, or do you continue to buy until the checkbook says no way? Just a thought because I figure it it will be a lasting trend I need to let my hubby in on it, or boy will he be mad!LOL You should have seen his face when I brought home the water bowl thing, he just rolled his eyes and said here we go! any thoughts? thanks Brandi |

| No, it doesn't get better! Whenever I go to a store, I always have to go to the doggy department and see if there is anything she would like. I go to the thrift stores, and look for toys she can play with also, She loves when I bring her home something new! I am always making her new dresses, knitting new sweaters, etc. I guess she has replaced my grown up kids! Ha! Pat |

| Oh Gosh!! Does it ever get better? Heck no! It only gets worse, atleast with me anyway!!! No matter where I go store wise I ALWAYS first look to see what I can buy for Schatzie. Online shopping is my worst habit too when it regards Schatzie. My husband finally stopped shaking his head and just accepted the way things are around here, hahahahaa.. We went to the horse races last weekend and I bought her a toy pony, oh it's adorable too!! Now, how it really gets worse is buying yet another Yorkie and doing DOUBLE shopping!! That is what I am working on now, he heee!! Schatzie alone has 4 beds if that tells you anything. Toys that I've lost track of, hair bows forever laying around the house, too many food dishes, clothes which some fit, some don't. And of course matching leashes/harnessess. It never ends, TRUST ME!! Oh, and then you can't take pictures alone so I have to buy "props".... Infact, in today's mail more bows and rubber bands came! LIFE IS GOOD!

| I am so glad to hear that this money spending is a "habit" with more then just me!!!! When I call my family (they all live out -of-state ) they think I'm crazy!!! My hubby kinda just shakes his head and say's what ever makes you happy......Kai is quite spoiled , and I'm pretty sure she does not even know shes a doggie!!! My hubby had a vascectomy in his prevoius marriage , so we cannot have children together (we both have children just not with each other) and Kai has kinda became that baby that I want and cannot have!!! (ok so by now I probley have come close to spending enough to reverse his vascectomy) I have been firmly cut off from the clothes buying sooooo I guess it's time to learn to sew....So nope pretty sure this does not get better .....Kai has a car seat , which BTW..hubby made very well other then being a little heavy.. A baby carrier ...Lots of clothes , toys , bows ,Ect....... Just repeat after me...I AM NOT CRAZY , I AM NOT CRAZY!!!!! |

| Brandi: AFTER you get your Yorkie baby, I think you'll realize why so many of us spoil our Yorkies so much. We really just can't help it! They are just so adorable, cute, and lovable! But you can try to set a budget and try to stick to it. |

| Once you get them, they are so addicting that they consume your every thought. I think about my baby all day when I'm working, I even laugh out loud remembering something cute he did. Every store I go to, I have to look at pet supplies and 2 out of 3 times at a store, I will come home with something for him. If I have 20.00 to blow however I want, it will be spent on my baby as he comes first, LOL. |

| You know, when I go shopping for myself, to buy clothes, I always feel guilty not buying my boyfriend any clothes, well, now I'm feeling that about my dog. So, whenever I go shopping, I too find myself looking for dog stuff.

| that was close Well I am definatly glad I am not alone. My poor husband just rools his eyes and shugs a bit when he sees me buy more stuff. I do feel like a new mommy in a way. (Not like I dont have enough people screaming in my ear I had to add another) but this seems diffrent in a good way. I look at it as she will be my buddy. I like the idea of dressing her up, although I must admit when I tell people that they look at me like I am nuts. "Your going to what??" I figure they just dont understand what it is like. Besides I have seen so many cute outfits for them and the bow galore. I can see me spending money almost all the time. I just hope the other "kids" dont get jealous. Owell Thanks everyone, I was starting to worry for a minute |
