YT 500 Club Member | Sickly Woke up this morning to a cage full of poop. Not just poop but diarrhea. She had a couple more eposoides since this morning. She's not acting different. She still full of energy. Call the vet they told me she probably ate something she wasn't supposed to. Told me to wait till see if it stops by tomorrow before I bring her in or if she starts acting weak to bring her in ASAP. He told me withhold food for 24hrs and just keep her hydrated. And just so you know, she puts any and everything in her mouth. Left her home with the kids yesterday and she got into the trash. Looks like she had a good time in it.. My questions is does the vet advice sounds about right or should I be worried about something else? And also she just 6 months |

| I would try giving her some plain pumpkin to help soothe her tummy and curve the potty problems. If we give Laddy anything different to eat we sometimes have these issues and the pumpkin seems to clear him right up. Praying for your little one.

| I think that's a "generic" advice vets give for upset tummy. If she's taking treats and drinking water, it probably is something like upset tummy. Unless you notice other symptoms like lethargy, etc... I think she'll be ok. |

| My vet would say similar things if there was 2-3 issues of diarrhea. However, more than that, he would say bring her in. How many times has your pup had diarrhea? Also, ask about giving plain pedilyte. Usually after an episode like this, I give my girls boiled chicken and rice then transition back to the regular food. Hope she is feeling better.

YT 500 Club Member | Do you just buy the pumpkin in the can? I wanted to know so I can keep some on hand because my baby is a raccoon..lol...always eating something she has no business eating. The funny part is soon as I look at her she drops it so I know she knows better.. |

| It is pumpkin in the can. Just make sure you get the 100% pure pumpkin.

| It's the pumpkin puree you'd use for pumpkin pie. Depending on your location and type of grocery stores you have, you might see some that are "organic". I usually keep 1-2 cans along with other few things in my "emergency kit". |

| Dont get this confused with the can of "pumpkin pie filling"......you want the straight, pure pumpkin puree! |

YT 500 Club Member | Just to update YT. She is doing great. Didn't have to take her to the vet because she didn't have another episode and presumed eating the next day like she never ate before. Just had to give her a nice bath because she was soooooo stinky from the poop in the cage. When my pup was sick it made me do some thinking. All the times I was frustrated about potty training seems so petty now. I would gladly clean poop up every day if it meant my baby would never get sick again. Another thing that's funny is that I was NEVER a pet lover. As a matter of fact I turned my nose up to ppl who would bring dogs in the store. Now I couldn't imagine my life without my babies. I love them like I gave birth to them...is that wierd....lol... |

| I'm so glad to her she is doing better. I used to think ppl that treated their dogs like people were crazy and guess who does that now?? I go as far as letting him sit on my lap when we go out to eat (outdoors of course) and I hand feed him while we are eating. My son thinks I take it too far because I won't just come home say hi to Gizmo and then leave to go out to dinner. I feel bad that's he's home all day by himself and then I tease him with a little hour visit and then gone again. |
