YT 500 Club Member | anal glands I took Dolly to the vet because I thought her anal glands needed to be cleaned but they said they were not full but did needed to be poped because that was what was causes her to be itchy has any ever heard of this ? |

| dogs normally when doing a good poop express their own anal glands, your dog is obviously having an issue and they decided to pop or express them for you as they are what is called impacted |

| impacted is different than expression in the concept that you will get an antibiotic as well as they will express the glands in my case that is what happened. I waited to long to have her expressed..it was only two weeks but she was stressed out from a foster living with us. I am not sure what you mean my popped either? I never heard the word expressed exchanged for popped but maybe I am off.
