| What vitamins do you use? I know this topic was discussed before but the search engine doesn't seem to be working... I'm looking into starting my two on glucosamine supplements. I wanted to see what you guys used. Any feedback, experiences you want to share would be great! There are just so many choices.... |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Some people give Cosequin RS. I used to give it, but don't now.

| I don't currently need to give glucosomine supplements, but when they start to have joint issues, I'll likely go with either green lipped mussel powder or elk velvet antler |

| I also gave cosequin but stopped awhile back. Momo had grade 1 on his rear leg, but last we checked, his knees wouldn't budge. If you're concerned about inflammation, fish or krill oil works very well.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Yeah, I just don't believe they really do much. The science is showing us that there really is no reliable evidence that the whole glucosamine / chroindrontin combo does anything for the joints. So, I felt like I was perhaps throwing my money away.

| I'm more concerned about Zoey as I've felt her rear left leg popping once in a while so I think she'll have joint issues when she gets old(er). Is there something else you guys would recommend to help with that? |

I wish I knew of something that actually did help support the joints, but I really don't.

| Personally, I would use omega 3s instead of glucosamine. I use a capsule of nordic naturals omega-3 pet. It says 1 capsule per 20 lbs on the bottle, but I use 1 capsule for my 7 lb dogs and 2 capsules for my 10 lb dogs per day.

| Luckily, she's not lifting her leg or have been graded for any LP but the vet did mention she probably will in the future. It worries me little more b/c she loves to jump/hop. I did hear omega 3s are good for them as well... I'll check out the one you suggested 107barney! Thanks! |
